Betty White’s bizarre boozy breakfast revealed after icon credited H๏τ dogs for living until 99

Betty White’s bizarre boozy breakfast revealed after icon credited H๏τ dogs for living until 99

Betty White was a fan of a boozy and unusual breakfast before her death at the ripe age of 99 in 2021.

The Hollywood icon, who previously credited H๏τ dogs for her longevity, loved drinking vodka on the rocks and eating chocolate cake for breakfast, her former co-star Meghann Fahy revealed.

White Lotus star Fahy, 35, starred with White in 2011 Hallmark movie The Lost Valentines, and on Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! said: ‘We crossed paths a bit, and she loved drinking vodka on ice and eating chocolate cake for breakfast, like a real, true legend.’

Kimmel responded: ‘That’s crazy. She lived a very long time. Was she drinking the vodka with the cake?’

Fahy added: ‘I think she just sort of moved through life in this amazing way. It was so cool for me to meet her that early on in my career, and learn that you can be as incredible as that, and still be so human and not fussy.

‘Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.

The icon of American television pᴀssed away in her home at the age of 99 in December 2021.

She was just three weeks away from her milestone centennial birthday.

A comic till the end, White credited ‘vodka and H๏τ dogs’ for her longevity and added that trips up and down the stairs of her two-story house kept her in shape. Most importantly, she said: ‘It’s your outlook on life that counts. If you take yourself lightly and don’t take yourself too seriously, pretty soon you can find the humor in our everyday lives.’

The Golden Girls icon’s tipple of choice in the 2020 lockdown was revealed to be  a ‘vodka martini’ with ‘H๏τ dogs and french fries,’ a pal of hers told Closer Weekly.

This friend shared: ‘Betty loves to joke that vodka keeps her young. She loves the image of her sitting at home in a rocking chair, drinking a martini and watching game shows, but she’s not really a big drinker. That’s not her. She’ll only take a few sips of a cocktail if the occasion calls for it.’

Betty herself recently told the magazine: ‘I’m blessed with incredibly good health. That’s something you appreciate a lot.’

The TV legend has been ‘doing very well’ while self-isolating at home in California, her representative emailed Today.

She ‘Has helpers who are great’ with her and ‘wild animals visiting’ her backyard, said the rep, dishing: ‘The virus is afraid of Betty!’

Betty has spent eight decades working in television and has racked up the longest career in the history of the medium.

Although she has been on a slew of hit programs including The Mary Tyler Moore Show she is most beloved for The Golden Girls.

Betty starred on the show from 1985 to 1992 as Rose Nylund, a kindhearted bottle blonde ditz from St. Olaf, Minnesota.

She was part of the main cast with Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, all three of whom were younger than she but have predeceased her.

The Golden Girls ended because Bea Arthur did not want to do it anymore, so Betty joined Rue and Estelle in a follow-up sequel series.

Enтιтled The Golden Palace, the spin-off show lasted only one season in 1993 and saw the three remaining leads start a H๏τel together.
