Netflix fans have raved over a new medical drama that ‘scratches the Grey’s Anatomy itch’ and is packed full of ‘enjoyably juicy’ action.
The new series, Pulse, launched on the streaming platform on April 3 and stars Willa Fitzgerald, Coin Woodell, Jack Bannon and Jessie T. Usher.
Based in a trauma centre in Miami, it follows a third-year medical student called Danny who is promoted after Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips is suspended.
The pair then have to navigate working together, as well as their complicated romance.
After only a few days on screens, the medical drama is already being likened to the longstanding Grey’s Anatomy.

Some fans have taken to social media to share their verdicts on the new show and one posted on X: ‘Pulse is so good! Finally Netflix is giving me what I want!’
Another penned: ‘Just finished Pulse on Netflix. Soundtrack 10/10 Drama 8/10.’
While someone else wrote: ‘The show Pulse on Netflix is amazing sheesh.’

A fourth urged for another season and said: ‘Netflix when are we getting season 2 of the pulse?’
Someone else also wanted future instalments and added: ‘Oh Netflix I need seasons two and three to be ordered for #pulse STAT! and I need more of Nia and Cole.’
While another chimed in: ‘PULSE on Netflix is so good!’
But not everyone is enjoying Pulse and one viewer penned: ‘Watching Pulse on Netflix and I am so confused. I’m on episode 3 and I’m still confused.’
A second said: ‘Hope Pulse on Netflix gets a season 2 bc i kinda wanna see how much worse it can get.’
Previously speaking about the show, co-writer Zoe Robyn told Tudum: ‘We always endeavoured to make Danny and Phillips’ relationship a real, authentic look at a workplace romance’
Some fans have taken to social media to share their verdicts on the new show and while many have been positive, there have been some negative reviews too
‘Pulse shows the edges and pitfalls of their relationship – but also all the joyous moments of working a high-pressure job like this,’ she added.
Zoe said: ‘You don’t really want to be in the hospital. But if you’re in the hospital, this is the one you would want to be in. You want to be in the care of these people.’
Pulse also stars Chelsea Muirhead as surgical intern Sophie Chen, Daniela Nieves as another medical student, Camila Perez, and Jessy Yates as a emergency medicine resident student called Harper.
It comes as another medical drama, The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call, launched on Netflix earlier this year and caused an excited buzz among fans.
It stars Choo Young Woo as Yang Jae-won, Ha Young as Cheon Jang-mi and Ju Ji-Hoon as Baek Gang-hyeok.
The Korean hospital drama follows trauma surgeon Baek Gang-hyeok as he works to transform his team of medics.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call launched on Netflix in January and has already caused an excited buzz amongst fans of the show

Viewers have already binge-watched the entire eight-episode series and have begged for a second instalment.
Some have taken to social media to share their verdicts on the show, and one posted on X: ‘Done watching #Traumacode Love all the characters in the drama.’
Another pushed for further series and said: ‘Need more seasons of #TraumaCode #TraumaCodeHeroesOnCall.’
