Adam Devine revealed his adolescent habit of pleasuring himself and the one horrifying time it led to him losing a body part.

Adam made the shocking revelation during an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, saying his pinky toe fell off during ‘one of the first times he masturbated’ as a young boy.

Devine, now 41, prefaced his story by explaining that he ‘broke all the bones in his legs’ after getting hit by a cement truck as a kid. 

The Righteous Gemstones star was warned by his doctors at the time that one of his pinky toes could either ‘fall off’ or ‘stabilize’ as his body healed from the trauma.

‘So I’m in the bathtub, and I couldn’t stand because of my accident, and I just found masturbation, and oh, did I love it, Graham,’ the Pitch Perfect star shared during the interview.

‘And so I’m cranking down, and it was the first time semen had come out, and I’m like, “What is this?” And I’m like, “Ah! This is fantastic!” And it was floating in the water. I’m like, “This is gross.”’

As Devine climaxed and was ‘dissipating the jizz,’ he noticed his pinky toe ‘just floating in the bathtub.’ 

The host asked him what was going through his mind at the time.

‘I’m thinking I jerked off so hard, my toe fell off — because that’s essentially what happened.’

Devine remembered screaming, ‘Oh, my toe!’ which prompted his panicked mother to rush into the bathroom and insist on fishing it out of the bathwater.

However, Adam was more concerned that she not ‘touch the water.’

Unfortunately, Devine did not reveal if his pinkie toe was reattached or not. 

Over the years, the Modern Family actor has had a number of complications from the accident, including being told he didn’t have long to live.

He opened up on his health ‘nightmare’ which reached fever pitch when he started experiencing constant pain and ‘having spasms all over.’

Things went from bad to worse when Adam, who shares 13-month-old son Beau with wife Chloe Bridges, consulted with medical experts and they told him that he was dying.

‘I was having spasms all over, and I still kinda do,’ Adam said. ‘They don’t really know why, for a while they told me I was dying. Literally within this last year they told me that.’

The star’s medical team thought he had stiff person syndrome (SPS) and told him it wouldn’t leave him with much time left to live, despite death from the condition being rare.  

He continued: ‘[I was told] the average life expectancy is six years for someone who has it, and they told me that I had that literally a month before my son Beau was born.’

It wasn’t until Adam made a trip to see ‘the guy who coined the phrase stiff-person syndrome’ that discovered his spasms were likely due to his childhood accident.

Adam focused on getting physically fit with CrossFit and cycling during the Covid pandemic, something that he believes may have triggered the pain in his body.

‘I think I just got so тιԍнт and so тιԍнтly wound, and my body has all these things that are a little wonky and a little wrong with it, that I just sort of snapped,’ he said.

‘I think I’m still dealing with it, but it’s been three years now.’

‘And so I’m cranking down, and it was the first time semen had come out, and I’m like, “What is this?” And I’m like, “Ah! This is fantastic!” And it was floating in the water’

Adam previously told how he was hit by a truck following a miscommunication with his friend. 

‘I was hit by a cement truck,’ he said in a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly.

‘We were gonna go get candy. And also rip pages out of Penthouse. That was a real agenda.

‘We left the store and one buddy was across the street. He yelled “Come on!” as in “I’m excited to go look at boobs!” And I heard “Come on!” as in “The coast is clear!”‘

In that moment, Adam walked with his bike into the road and straight into the path of the truck.

‘They say the reason I lived was the bike took the hit first,’ he added. ‘I still slid 500 feet. Picked me up under the first two wheels and then spit me out.’
