Sydney Sweeney looked downcast as she was seen with ex fiance Jonathan Davino for the first time this week since ‘calling off their wedding.’

The Anyone But You star, 27,  who reignited dating rumors with her rom-com co-star Glen Powell last month, failed to raise a smile as she strolled alongside Davino, 41, and their dog Tank on Sunday.

The beauty covered up in a blue hoodie and jeans, paired with sunglᴀsses, while former restaurateur Davino wore a navy tracksuit as they had a low-key lunch date.

At one point, Davino was seen placing an arm on Sweeney’s back in an apparent comforting gesture during an emotional discussion. 

It was reported last week that the Euphoria star and film producer called off their wedding amid ‘major issues’ that allegedly left their romance hanging in the balance.

Sydney and Jonathan started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022, but for the most part kept their relationship ᴀssiduously private.

However a source recently revealed to DailyMail.com that the pair had postponed their wedding, which was planned to take place this May.

The insider explained that the couple were undergoing a ‘rough patch’ and trying to ‘reᴀssess’ whether they ought to remain together at all. 

But a source has now told TMZ that the pair actually separated in January, and have been living separate lives for several months. 

Previous to Sunday’s outing, Jonathan and Sydney had not been seen together since January, and she has reportedly been staying at the Beverly Hills H๏τel since mid-February. 

Rumors had began swirling about the state of their relationship, and Sydney poured fuel on the fire last week when she deleted a picture of her and Jonathan kissing from an Instagram album she had posted to celebrate the new year.

Another clue came when the Euphoria sensation took a trip to Africa without him in early March.

A source shared with People: ‘She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.’

It was added, ‘She’s not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.’

Sydney then shocked fans as she reunited with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, as they both celebrated the wedding of Glen’s sister Leslie Powell to Thomas Gillespie.

While Sydney and Glen, 36, were promoting their romantic comedy Anyone But You in 2023, they were hit with rumours they had an on-set affair – and deliberately played into the conjecture in order to drum up publicity for the movie. 

Fans have long speculated that there could be something romantic between them – and the actress’s split from her fiancé did little to help persuade otherwise.   

It comes shortly after Powell brushed off questions about a rumored romance with Sydney while appearing on Today’s Jenna & Friends, telling host Jenna Hager, ‘Timing is everything.’  

Last weekend Sweeney caused a stir with another Glen, her former co-star, whom she reunited with to attend his sister’s wedding in Dallas.

While fans speculated that her attendance at the wedding was indicative of a burgeoning romance between her and Glen, the Top Gun actor’s mom put the rumors to rest last week.

In an exclusive phone call with Daily Mail, Cyndy Powell shared, ‘They’re definitely not together. It was just, like, she was there [at the wedding] with her friend.’ 

Sydney is ‘really close friends’ with the whole Powell family, she added, and in particular Glen’s sister Leslie, a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, who was tying the knot with Thomas Gillespie.

Meanwhile, during his Today segment this week, Glen confirmed what his mother said.

He emphasized, ‘[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding.’

There were hints of trouble in Sydney and Jonathan’s romance earlier this year when the actress started staying at the Beverly Hills H๏τel and removed a pH๏τo of her and her now-ex from Instagram.

She also deleted the slide of her and Jonathan sharing a New Year’s kiss from the Instagram carousel she posted on January 2.

Another clue came when the Euphoria sensation took a trip to Africa without him in early March.
