Glenn Close has revealed she was ‘curious’ about working with Kim Kardashian, but despite her 40-plus years in the business she never once presumed to dish out advice to the reality star.
Glenn, 78, and Kim, 44, star alongside each other in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming legal drama All’s Fair.
It marks Kim’s next major acting role after American Horror Story: Delicate, in which she shared a steamy onscreen kiss with her costar Emma Roberts.
‘I was curious,’ Glenn told DailyMail.com of meeting Kim. ‘I couldn’t wait to meet her. I had never done a Ryan Murphy show before, which is a whole other universe, and I think she would be surprised at how I was. I had to find my feet.’
The eight-time Oscar nominee has decades of experience to her name, has starred in box office hits and worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest names compared to Kim who is a relative newcomer to the industry.
But despite this, Glenn said she refused to give the reality star-turned-businesswoman any advice because she is already a ‘brilliant woman’ and has huge potential as an actress.

Glenn, 78, and Kim, 44, will star alongside each other in Ryan Murphy ’s upcoming legal drama All’s Fair
‘I would not presume to give Kim Kardashian advice,’ she insisted. ‘I think she’s a very, very brilliant woman. I think she could choose to do anything she wants.
‘Frankly, if she wants to be an actress, that’s one road. But she could be. She’s a great executive. She’s a great businesswoman. She’s a very, very involved mother. She’s getting her law degree. So, I think she has huge potential and that she’s fulfilled already as a woman. And frankly, I will be fascinated to see what she chooses to do.’
She may not have dished out any advice, but she did take inspiration from Kim, who has inspired her to be bolder with her fashion and beauty choices.
‘I feel I can be myself and I’m kind of experimenting now,’ she revealed. ‘I’m in a phase of life, especially after doing All’s Fair and kind of seeing Kim’s different hairstyles every day. I’m thinking I want to do that. So, I’m in a time where I want to find who else I am and work maybe with fashion a little bit more.’
Kim, who is also serving as executive producer on the upcoming series, confessed she was ‘actually really nervous’ about starring in the eight-episode legal drama opposite Glenn.
Speaking on a recent episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, the mom-of-four said: ‘I have to bring it.
‘The second episode I have a huge scene, just me and Glenn Close, like a really important one.’
The costars have grown close, with Glenn telling UsWeekly that Kim had the cast over to her mom Kris Jenner’s $20 million Hidden Hills mega-mansion to watch a screening of Fatal Attraction, which she had never seen, in the private theatre.

‘We said we should all get together and have a pajama party and watch Fatal Attraction, and watch Kim watching Fatal Attraction. And we did,’ Glenn said.
Glenn was nominated for an Academy Award for her searing portrayal of mentally-ill publishing editor Alex Forrest, who becomes obsessed with attorney Dan Gallagher, played by Michael Douglas, after their extramarital affair.
Glenn’s other All’s Fair co-star Niecy Nash shared a video of the moment following their private screening of the 1987 hit film.
‘Tonight I had the honor of watching Fatal Attraction with this cute thing right here. One of the greatest joys of my life. I love you,’ the 55-year-old Emmy winner said.
Glenn replied: ‘Oh I loved it too! It was really a trip. It was amazing.’
‘Yes it was,’ Niecy agreed.
All’s Fair, which follows an all-female law firm, also stars Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, and Teyana Taylor.
Glenn was speaking at the 11th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony which celebrates the research achievements of the world’s top scientists. Other stars in attendance included Rob Lowe, and Katy Perry and Gayle King who will head into space on a Blue Origin rocket on April 14.
