A tricky question from The 1% Club has left viewers absolutely stumped after they wracked their brains for the answer in just 30 seconds.
It sees players attempt to work out how many of the seven possible lines on a digital clock face would need to be illuminated to spell out a particular time.
The popular gameshow format sees 100 contestants whittled down with each logical question as they bid for a chance to win £100,000.
Needless to say, the questions get progressively harder until the top 1% of players have been found.
One is then selected to try for the jackpot, but should they get a single question wrong, the winnings are split between the other players who get it right.
The now-viral tricky question appeared on the show back in 2023 as a 20% question.

Footage of the tricky question was recently reposted to TikTok, where social media users were quick to put on their thinking caps
Host Lee Mack said: ‘A digital clock uses a maximum of seven lines per digit, which can be used to create any time. How many lines are lit at 10:05am?’
Footage of the tricky question was recently reposted to TikTok, where social media users were quick to put on their thinking caps.
The majority, however, found it impossible to answer and expressed their frustration in the video’s comments section.
One wrote: ‘I can’t even get to the 70 percent question.’
Others simply questioned how to count the lines on a digital clock.
Another TikToker pondered: ‘Why am I one of the few people that thinks 1 is made with 3 lines? And I think I am correct.’
Answers to the tricky question included 19 to 27 – with one person even hazarding a guess that it could be as low as seven.
The correct answer, however, was 19, so while tricky, it’s clear that the question is solvable in just 30 seconds.

Lee Mack previously revealed why he thinks the show has become such a hit.
He told The Sun: ‘Great contestants, loads of cash to win, and guaranteed “I can’t believe you couldn’t work that one out Dad!” moments to cause family disputes – I love it.
‘I like quizzes that are tough. I watch University Challenge knowing that if I’m lucky I’ll get a couple of questions right, and I’m more than happy with that because when you get it right, you feel great.
‘That’s what I really like about The 1% Club. Producers shared some questions with me and if I’d been able to get them all right, I probably wouldn’t have done the show.
‘But I quickly realised if someone gets these right, they’re a proper brainbox.’
The 1% Club airs Saturdays on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
