Comedian Jeff Ross was hospitalized over the weekend after suffering an allergic reaction while on tour.
The funnyman, 59, shared a series of Instagram pH๏τos from his hospital bed on Sunday, as he showed off his swollen face and lip.
Ross — who made waves with his jibe at Robert Kraft at the Tom Brady roast — told fans that the item which landed him in the hospital was a new flavor of burrata ice cream he tried.
Following a performance of his one-man show, Take a Banana for the Ride, in Mill Valley, California, the celebratory atmosphere between Ross and his band turned alarming when he started feeling unwell and his face began to swell.
‘ROAST ME. TONIGHT’S SHOW NEAR SAN FRANCISCO MUST GO ON ! Had such a fun opening night performance of @takeabananafortheride up here in Mill Valley, California @throckmortontheatre,’ he began in his caption.
‘Afterwards, me and the band celebrated with some Burata ice cream at a restaurant down the street courtesy of the nice owner. It was delicious. Seriously yummy.’

‘I guess that’s pretty remarkable considering I’m constantly shoving whatever food is in front of me into my face,’ he quipped.
Jeff went on: ‘Thank you to the overnight shift at MarinHealth Medical Center for only roasting me a lightly. DESPITE LOOKING LIKE MICKEY ROURKE at the end of The Wrestler.’
Despite the medical setback, Jeff promised fans he would return to the stage in Mill Valley tonight.
‘I WILL BE TAKING A NAP AND BACK ON STAGE HERE IN MILL VALLEY NEAR SAN FRANCISCO AT 730pm TONIGHT.’
Burrata ice cream blends the distinct flavor and creamy texture of burrata cheese into a sweet, or sometimes more savory, ice cream base.
It’s not a traditional or common ice cream flavor, making it a more gourmet offering.
It’s unclear which component of the ice cream Jeff was allergic to.

It’s unclear which component of the ice cream (pictured) Jeff was allergic to. Burrata is a dairy product, so lactose intolerance or an allergy to cow’s milk protein could be a potential cause

A pH๏τo he shared of the ice cream also showed what appeared to be crushed pistachio on top, another common allergen.

Beyond his one-man show, Ross has had a busy year, participating in several roasts, notably The Roast of Tom Brady where one joke made headlines for seemingly drawing ire from Brady, 47.
Though afterwards, Ross insisted that Brady was not angry with his jibe about Kraft – despite the NFL legend appearing to snap at him during the Netflix roast.
Beyond his one-man show, Ross has also appeared in Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year and the podcast series Kill Tony; seen March 26 in NYC
Last year, he notably hosted The Roast of Tom Brady, where one joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft made headlines for seemingly drawing ire from former NFL star Brady, 47
‘Don’t say that s**t again,’ Brady said to Ross, after America’s ‘Roastmaster General’ took a sH๏τ at the Patriots owner during the live show.
‘Tom became a Patriot, moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, I’m the greatest decision your organization has ever made… would you like a mᴀssage,’ Ross joked.
It drew laughs from the room, but Brady appeared unimpressed by the joke and went up to Ross in the middle of his set.
Since then, Ross has also appeared in Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year and the podcast series Kill Tony.
