She broke Brit Award records after winning six gongs last year for her album 21st Century Blues.
But it’s not all been smooth sailing since for Raye, 27, who has revealed she is struggling to write new music because the ‘bar is high’.
The Worth It singer confirmed she is back in the studio recording new music but broke down in tears in the first five sessions because, ‘I couldn’t write anything’.
Raye said on TikTok this week: ‘I was overthinking everything and I definitely cried. So I’ve been offline because the bar is definitely high.
‘I just want to trust my gut, hope I make the right decisions and, more than anything, just believe in it if no one else does because I do.
‘I have have have to think like that, that’s why I’m offline.’

But it’s not all been smooth sailing since for Raye , 27, who has revealed she is struggling to write new music because the ‘bar is high’
It comes after it was revealed the south London born singer had bought a £2million mansion in Los Angeles in her bid to break America after her first Grammy nomination.
It is unclear what her upcoming album will be about but it has been two years since her debut record emerged.
The singer explained last year: ‘It’s my birthday and my car got stolen with all my song writing books in the boot so no second album any time soon. Love you, bye.’
Raye, whose real name is Rachel Keen, made one of pop’s greatest comeback stories of all time after splitting from her label Polydor Records in 2021.
Polydor refused to release 21st Century Blues, five years after she signed a four-album deal with the company and, not knowing what else to do, released a video message to social media tearfully explaining her frustration.
Explaining that dozens of potential hits were ‘sat in folders collecting dust’ while others were being given away to bigger stars, Raye said: ‘I am still awaiting confirmation that I am good enough.’
‘I’ve done everything Polydor asked me, I switched genres, I worked seven days a week. They either listen to me now of we part ways and they can save themselves this headache.

Behind closed doors, Polydor told Raye to stop giving interviews.
Eventually, she was freed from her contract and she released Escapism which became the second most played song in the UK in 2023.
The singer followed it up with her long-awaited album, My 21st Century Blues.
Gritty, triumphant and catchy, it showcased her ability to genre-hop between jazz, soul, hip-hop, dance and gospel without losing her sense of idenтιтy.
By the end of the year, it had sold more than 60,000 copies and been nominated for a Mercury Prize. Then came her record-breaking haul at the Brits.
Of her success, she said: ‘It’s just brilliant when you get to prove people wrong. It’s not been the simplest story – but it just shows that you should back yourself, no matter what people tell you.’
