Justin Bieber’s latest rapid-fire social media posts have led some fans to suggest they might be thinly veiled digs at his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez’s expense.

The 31-year-old pop superstar has lately been reposting a stream of memes and original posts to his Instagram grid and Stories, but two from Wednesday evoked the ire of his ex’s fans.

One offending post featured a clip of Gollum from the Lord Of The Rings films as he finally regains control of the One Ring, just before he and the ring are cast into the flames of Mordor.

‘Girls on social media when they get engaged,’ the original poster captioned the clip, which shows Gollum holding the ring in the air and gazing at it lustily.

Shortly after Justin posted the meme on Wednesday, fans began reposting it and speculating that he was poking fun at Selena, who got engaged in December 2024 to the music producer Benny Blanco after dating for about a year.

The latest controversy for Bieber comes amid fears for Justin’s marriage to Hailey Bieber and fan concerns for his physical and mental health after an insider told DailyMail.com that the singer has been acting ‘manic, not sleeping’ and ‘hardly eating.’

Fans appear to have begun voicing concerns about Justin’s health and his marriage to Hailey in early January, when the couple were forced to deny rumors of a split.

‘Such an immature omg, he’s a FATHER of a baby, it’s been almost a decade when will he get over it 🙄,’ another fan wrote on X. 

 Several fans noted that Justin has been married for years now and has a child, which made his alleged behavior even more concerning and disappointing to them

The singers originally dated on and off from 2010 until March of 2018.

It was only about four months later that Justin got engaged to Hailey, whom he began dating again in June 2018 after they had a short fling from December 2015 to January 2016.

They later married secretly in September of that year, before tying the knot in a more opulent ceremony in South Carolina in September 2019.

And the concern only ramped up in a disturbing livestream the singer posted over the weekend in which he appeared gaunt and shirtless.

In the new repost, a man is seen in the driver’s seat of a car as he appears to get ready to drive off. 

‘Me acting nonchalant after an argument to make my bae more mad,’ the clip was captioned.

The man leans out the still open door and shouts in a mock-pleasant voice, ‘Hope your day gets better!’ 

A woman off camera then screams, ‘Shut the f*** up!’

The man struggles to contain a smile before adding, ‘Positive energy!’

‘Shut up! Do you not understand English?!’ the woman seethes off camera.

The social media spree comes after Justin shocked his fans with a livestream over the weekend in which he appeared hollow-eyed and shirtless while playing some demo recordings — the early, barebones versions of future songs — for his fans on Instagram.

Justin rapped along to the explicit lyrics, holding the camera close to his face and gesturing with his hands.

Later in the livestream the singer — who recently sparked concern with posts about feeling as if he was drowning and unsafe — covered up his head in an orange blanket. 

The video quickly went viral on social media, with fans expressing concern for the pop superstar, whose wife Hailey Bieber recently broke her silence after ‘unfollowing’ Justin on Instagram following the livestream.

Despite its upbeat sound, the lyrics look back wistfully on a romance for the rearview mirror.

Justin also shared a snap from a FaceTime call with Dr. Jocelyn Miranda, a chiropractor who specializes in Body Biomechanics/Biodynamics and is a soft tissue specialist for athletic and vocal performance amid his health concerns

Bieber shared a black and white snap from a FaceTime chat with the doctor late Saturday night, writing ‘Luv you girl,’ on the picture. 

The Grammy winner previously canceled his World Justice Tour after being diagnosed in 2022 with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that caused a partial facial paralysis. 

In another post a few hours later he revealed, ‘I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic. Then I remember we’re all being made to think we’re not enough but I still hate when I change myself to please people.’

The post was accompanied by video of Bieber making music at his home with musicians including DJ Tay James, and Judah Smith.

These recent posts come after the STAY singer admitted to struggling with anger issues. 

He received plenty of support for his declaration in the comments, including a kind word from actress Alyssa Milano.
