Sydney Sweeney’s former fiancé, Jonathan Davino, was seen for the first time since news broke they ‘called off’ their wedding and are no longer a couple.

While his ex, 27, has been traveling across the country for work and recently reunited with her former Anyone But You costar, Glen Powell, the producer and businessman, 41, has kept a low profile following their split. 

On Tuesday, however, he emerged in the public eye, outside their Bel Air mansion, while walking Sweeney’s beloved Pit Bull, Tank, who she adopted as a puppy and has previously described as her ‘best friend.’

In 2023, Sweeney and Davino purchased the stunning property for $6.2 million, where they intended to live happily ever after. 

His sighting came the same day Sweeney attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas to promote her new film, The Housemaid. 

As she hit the red carpet and posed for pH๏τos with her costars Brandon Sklenar and  Amanda Seyfried, Davino dutifully oversaw a construction project at their property.

The former couple, who reportedly have been separated since January, had originally planned to tie the knot this May, before Sweeney reportedly got cold feet. 

It was reported last week that the actress and film producer scrapped their wedding plans due to ‘major issues.’

Sweeney and Davino started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022, but for the most part kept their relationship ᴀssiduously private. 

On Monday, a source told People that Sweeney and Davino’s relationship had been ‘rocky for a long time.’

At this time, the insider noted that Sweeney has been focusing on her career and is ‘exactly where she wants to be.’ 

‘Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the source says of Sweeney,’ they explained. 

The source explained that the performer did, however, feel ‘overwhelmed’ by her ‘relationship and her wedding.’

Ultimately, she ‘didn’t feel right about’ walking down the aisle and wants to focus on her ‘magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago.’

‘She’s not ready to settle down,’ the source explained. ‘They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.’ 

Following news of her and Davino’s split, Sweeney had a friendly reunion with her former costar, Glen Powell, at his sister Leslie’s wedding. 

Amid headline speculating if she had already moved on, a source told Us Weekly that there was ‘nothing going on romantically between Glen and Sydney.’ 

The source said that Sydney met up with Glen because his sister Leslie invited her to her wedding in Texas over the weekend.

The day after the ceremony on Saturday, the Anyone But You co-stars grabbed a bite together at a local Dallas restaurant, as seen in pH๏τos shared by gossip site DeuxMoi on Instagram.

‘Sydney is close with the entire family,’ the source said before adding that Sweeney and Powell’s sister have ‘been close friends for a long time.’

The star responded to the wedding invitation ‘months ago’ with plans to attend with a plus-one. 

‘Sydney brought one of her girlfriends to the wedding as a guest and she RSVP’d months ago,’ the insider told the outlet.

Back in 2023, the two stars were notably embroiled in romance speculation while they promoted their romantic comedy Anyone But You.

During a past interview with Business Insider, the actor opened up about using their ‘authentic chemistry’ when it came to promoting Anyone But You.

Also in 2023, Powell split from his girlfriend Gigi Paris and expressed, ‘Well, look, the only reason it made things harder for me to lean into that stuff was that I was going through a very real breakup amidst a promotional tour.

‘I was with someone that I really loved and cared about and was trying to kind of make sense of a lot of stuff.’

In late 2023 on the Today show, Powell denied that there was anything romantic between the two but said, ‘No, but we do love each other. And, honestly, this is one of the most spectacular humans I’ve ever met. She’s really great.’
