Joshua Jackson shared one storyline that he still doesn’t like, 22 years after Dawson’s Creek went off the air.
‘I don’t think Pacey ever needed to be a stockbroker,’ he said. ‘I don’t really think we needed to go there.’
When asked to explain, Jackson, 46, said, ‘I don’t know where that came from. I don’t know what the point of that was.
‘Didn’t really feel like that’s something that Pacey would’ve got up to. Off the top of my head, that’s the one I don’t think we needed.’
The Doctor Odyssey actor explained that the goatee that went along with the plot point still bothers him as he thought it was out of character for Pacey.
‘I don’t think we needed a goatee. Maybe that’s it: it’s goatee Pacey. It doesn’t work for me,’ he told People on the red carpet of the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

In an earlier interview with the outlet, Joshua stated that he’s ‘way too petty’ to ever not be Team Pacey.
He was asked if he’d changed his mind over the past more than two decades since Dawson’s Creek went off the air.
‘No. I’m way too petty for that. I’ll go to my grave Team Pacey,’ he said.
In January, Joshua was one of the thousands of residents of Los Angeles who lost their homes in the LA fires.
‘Sadly my beautiful home did not survive the fires. But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love,’ the Dawson’s Creek star shared.
Joshua spent his early childhood years in the Topanga Canyon home, before he and his family moved back to Canada after his parents divorced when he was eight.

In 2001, the star purchased the property and reflected during an interview with Mr. Porter in 2021 that it had been a place ‘where everything felt simple.’
He purchased the home more than two decades ago and was living there with his four-year-old daughter Juno Rose Diana, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith.
He spoke about purchasing the property where he previously lived as a young child in a sentimental, full circle moment.
‘My father unfortunately was not a good father or a husband and exited the scene,’ he told Mr Porter in July 2021.
He continued: ‘But that house in Topanga was where everything felt simple, so it was a very healing thing for me to do.’
He also revealed that after he and his then-wife Turner-Smith welcomed Juno, his childhood bedroom became their daughter’s room.
‘There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in that room that I couldn’t believe was still there, years later,’ he said.
‘The [previous] owner said, “I knew it meant a lot to somebody and that they were going to come back for it someday,’ he added.

And while talking to E! News in 2023, Jackson also opened up about living in his former childhood home – and raising a family of his own there.
‘The most surprising thing is that it’s a lot more homey than it looks like from the outside,’ the star expressed. ‘It’s very, very baby-oriented and family-oriented inside the house.’
The Fringe star revealed the secret to his youthful appearance at age 46.
‘I think it’s chasing around a 4-year-old. I think that it keeps you young,’ the 46-year-old Hollywood hunk told People, referring to his daughter Juno.
The longtime actor then joked, ‘The gray hair might tell you a little different.’
On a more serious note, he mentioned that his smooth, beardless face might be the actual reason he looks strikingly young these days.
‘I think it’s just that I shaved, really,’ Jackson remarked, adding, ‘I mean, I am happy. I’m very happy, but I think it’s that I shaved. I think I look a lot younger without a full COVID beard.’
