George Clooney was still sporting his head-turning brown hairdo when he surfaced in New York City at the start of the weekend.
He debuted the look last month and publicly admitted he was concerned that his glamorous lawyer wife Amal would ‘hate’ it.
The former silver fox acquired the new hair color for his role as newsman Edward R. Murrow in his Broadway play Good Night, And Good Luck.
Good Night, And Good Luck is adapted from the 2005 film of the same name, which George both directed and acted in – although the role of the middle-aged Murrow was played by the now 76-year-old David Strathairn.
Now, George, 63, has taken on the part of the anchor for the stage version, and was glimpsed heading to the Saturday matinee this week at the Winter Garden Theater.
He arrived at the venue exuding in a characteristically elegant outfit of a charcoal suit teamed with a black polo shirt, leather shoes and a set of shades.

His outing comes after he shared his concerns over Amal, 47, and their kids hating his new hair last month – as he raised eyebrows with the new look while in NYC.
The actor was spotted grabbing lunch with his partner when he debuted a startling new appearance – a head of dyed-brown hair.

And last month George anticipated that his family wouldn’t be so keen on the change in his appearance.
Amal and George share twins Alexander and Ella, seven.
‘My wife is going to hate it because nothing makes you look older than when an older guy dyes his hair,’ George said during an interview with the New York Times in February. ‘My kids are going to just laugh at me nonstop.’
The Academy Award-winner and the British-Lebanese lawyer have been married since 2014.
In the show he will portray CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow and has had to cover up his usual handsome salt-and-pepper hair with a dark brown dye.
George appeared to have recently dyed his hair, as he seemed to still have his iconic silver hair when he was spotted late last month in New York City, though he wore a hat on that outing.

In the new play, the actor and filmmaker will be starring as the legendary journalist Edward.
In his 2005 film, David Strathairn had played the lead role, while Clooney took a supporting role as CBS President Fred Friendly, in addition to working behind the camera.
The movie, which was sH๏τ in black-and-white, focused on Murrow’s reports on Senator Joseph McCarthy’s unfounded claims of communist infiltration in the US government.
This leads to a fiery confrontation between the two men on Murrow’s CBS broadcast ahead of the senator’s humiliation at the Army–McCarthy hearings and subsequent censure from the Senate.
The all-star cast also included Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Daniels, Patricia Clarkson, Frank Langella and Twin Peaks star Ray Wise.
Clooney’s film was a hit at the box office, grossing $54.6 million against a $7 million budget, and it earned six Oscar nominations, though it went home empty-handed.
In addition to taking over the lead role in Good Night, And Good Luck as his Broadway debut, Clooney has a high-profile film in the works.
He’s set to star in the ensemble feature dramedy Jay Kelly, marking his first appearance in a film directed by Barbie co-writer Noah Baumbach.

Clooney will be part of a mᴀssive case of A-listers, including Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Jim Broadbent, Baumbach’s wife Greta Gerwig and Emily Mortimer, who co-wrote the screenplay with Baumbach.
Few details have been revealed about the film, which will be released by Netflix, though it is reportedly a coming-of-age film.
Netflix hasn’t revealed the release strategy for later this year, but the streamer has previously given Baumbach’s films a limited theatrical release prior to their debut on the service.
Prior to his work with Gerwig on Barbie, Baumbach wrote and directed the Don DeLillo adaptation White Noise, the Oscar winner Marriage Story and The Meyerowitz Stories for Netflix.
