Love Is Blind alum Mark Anthony Cuevas broke his silence about his breakup announcement, which seemingly blindsided his wife Aubrey Rainey.
On Saturday, the reality TV personality, 31, addressed his breakup post and how his wife seemed surprised by it.
The podcast host said there is ‘a lot being said online that simply isn’t true,’ adding that he ‘won’t be engaging in back-and-forths.’
The day before, he announced that he and his wife had separated after over two years of marriage and nearly five years together, but his wife seemed to be caught off guard.
His wife Aubrey later commented on his post, suggesting that not only was she not involved with the social media post but also that she did not know they were broken up.
Regarding what he shared online, he told People that he decided to post on Instagram about their split, which he said happened ‘a few weeks ago,’ after ‘a lot of thought and conversations.’

‘Aubrey and I, like many couples, faced our share of challenges,’ he said while remaining vague about their marital woes before adding that their main priority is their children.
He and his wife have been married since September 2022 and share two kids together — sons Ace Anthony, nearly four, and Axton Anders, three.
‘Ultimately, we decided to separate in hopes of creating a healthier, more peaceful environment for our kids,’ he continued. ‘Right now, my focus is on being a present, loving father and doing what’s best for our boys.’
Seemingly addressing his wife’s comment, he alluded that her being surprised by their split ‘simply isn’t true.’
‘I do hope people can remember there are two sides to every story, and more importantly, two children at the center of this,’ he added.
‘I’m doing my best to handle it with grace, and I hope others allow space for healing too.’

On Friday, Mark took to Instagram to share the news of their split, revealing they had made the decision ‘a few weeks ago’ but would continue co-parenting their children.
‘After a lot of thought and conversations, Aubrey and I decided to part ways a few weeks ago,’ Mark wrote. ‘This wasn’t an easy decision, but we both believe it’s the best path forward for our individual growth and our family.’
However, it seems Mark missed an important step before making the announcement public — he forgot to tell Aubrey.
She responded in the comments, saying, ‘This is news to me. lol.’
Underneath an identical post Mark shared on Facebook, Aubrey said there was ‘never a conversation or discussion.’

Aubrey also accused him of cheating in the comments section.
‘He got caught out with women and had to cover his tracks to maintain his “public image.” I had no part in this statement and it’s news to me, as it is to everyone else.’
On Instagram, she responded to a user’s comment alleging Mark ‘decided to abandon’ his family for a ‘party lifestyle.’
Aubrey replied: ‘idk who you are but thank you for this.’
Mark commented, ‘please illuminate?’
He later added: ‘you apparently know something I don’t so please explain what you think you know about me.’
Fans flooded the comments, questioning why Mark would share such a personal update if Aubrey was unaware or not ready for the news to go public.
‘How come Aubrey doesn’t know? I’m lost,’ wrote one confused fan, as another chimed in, ‘You wanted to be married SOOOO badly and yet this the way you’re gonna tell your WIFE?????? Your kids and her don’t deserve you.’
One joked, ‘Not aubrey commenting this is news to her.’
