Comedian Luenell offered up an apology to Pete Davidson for her antics during their recent appearances on Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney.

It turns out Davidson and the entire set got visibly ‘uncomfortable’ when the comedian and actress ran her hand up his leg during a blindfolded segment for the March 26 episode.

‘I admit, I was tickling Pete’s leg during a segment of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney; however, I did not mean to make Pete uncomfortable,’ Luenell (born Luenell Campbell), 66, told People. ‘I sincerely apologize. It was all done in jest.’

She then opted to showcase her comedic side, adding, ‘I hope Pete will forgive me, and I’m still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses. And I promise I won’t touch him again unless he wants me to!’

A representative came to the defense of Luenell by expanding on her motives during the joint appearance on the Netflix variety talk show.

‘By no means did my client, Luenell, want to make Mr. Davidson uncomfortable during their respective appearance on Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney. She was just being playful.’

Her actions in question happened after Luenell addressed Davidson about his dating history and his reputation for landing beautiful, high-profile ladies.

‘I want to know the mystique. Now, you’ve had Kim K, several other people, you’ve got this little supermodel right now,’ the Borat star said, in a reference to his current girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt.

The King Of Staten Island actor and co-writer, 31, immediately reacted when confronted with the name of his ex, letting out a horrified ‘Oh God!’ before laughing uncomfortably.  

She then suggested he take her out on a date in order for her to understand his allure.

‘And what I think, for the research and for women across America, I think that you should take me out,’ Luenell insisted.

A blushing Davidson, whose other celebrity exes include Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, Kate Beckinsale and Margaret Qualley, agreed with her in order to end the awkwardness, saying, ‘If that’s what it takes to stop this, yes!’ 

The Saturday Night Live alum had no problem talking about his dating history and the jokes that come along with his reputation, but he drew the line with her leg touching.

‘Pete was fine answering any questions — there was no issue with Kim [Kardashian], and he loves Mulaney,’ a source told PEOPLE. ‘Everyone on the show was having a great time with him until this happened.’

‘I hope Pete will forgive me, and I’m still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses.’ she added with a dose of humor.’ And I promise I won’t touch him again unless he wants me to!’

Describing the incident as an ‘unfortunate double standard’, the insider explained how the ‘whole set felt uncomfortable.’

‘It was really inappropriate, but Mulaney stepped in and kept things going. Pete played along in the moment because he didn’t want to derail the live show.’ 

Davison’s romance with Kardashian began in November 2021, soon after she made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.

The duo even shared a kiss during their Aladdin sketch, and embarked on a nine-month long relationship that saw them attend the Met Gala together.

The comedian, actor, and writer even got several tattoos dedicated to the reality star and beauty mogul while they were dating, including one referencing her legal ambitions, which was a piece on his collarbone declaring ‘My girl is a lawyer.’

Speaking of their relationship on The Kardashians, Kim K has been quoted about feeling ‘a vibe’ during their kiss on SNL.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum got Davidson’s phone number from a producer on the comedy show after he failed to show up to her afterparty, however was just looking to keep it casual at the time.

‘I wasn’t even thinking, like: ‘Oh my God. I’m gonna be in a relationship with him,” Kim admitted, adding she was ‘basically just DTF.’

She explained that she had ‘heard about his BDE’ – meaning ‘big d*** energy,’ a phrase that went viral in connection to him when his former girlfriend Ariana Grande slyly tweeted about his ’10 inches.’ 

As their romance developed, she found Pete to be ‘really thoughtful and humble and just so genuine,’ before regarding him as ‘literally the best human being’ she ever met.

The relationship was not without challenges, however, as the comedian found himself subjected to online harᴀssment from Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West. 

The rapper and producer took to disparagingly referring to Pete as ‘Skete,’ and in 2022 he went viral for rapping in the single Eazy that he would ‘beat Pete Davidson’s a**.’

The bizarre music video of the song showed West burying a claymation version of Davidson alive, to the alarm of several viewers.

However a source claimed that The Suicide Squad star ‘finds the fact that Kanye included a cartoon version of him in his music video hysterical. He is almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him,’ according to Entertainment Tonight.

West defended the video on free speech grounds and argued: ‘Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.’

Kim and Pete split up in August 2022, with a source close to the Staten Island, NY native telling DailyMail.com at the time: ‘Their break up was completely amicable. They had a great time while it lasted but long distance and different priorities saw it come to an end.’

Davidson is currently dating British model Elsie Hewitt, 29, who was previously linked to his fellow Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis 

The former couple both have since moved on, with the comedian embarking on a number of romances ever since. 

He’s currently dating Hewitt, a British-born model, while Kardashian was rumored to have been dating NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from September 2023 to March 2024. 

Davidson has enjoyed a long and star-studded dating history, stretching back to ‘nepo baby’ Cazzie David, the daughter of Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David.

He then embarked on a whirlwind romance with Ariana Grande from May to October of 2018, which included a brief engagement.

The following year, he was linked to Underworld star Kate Beckinsale, Andie MacDowell’s daughter, actress Margaret Qualley, and Cindy Crawford’s model daughter Kaia Gerber. 

He was linked to Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor from February to August 2021, and the next year there were rumors connecting him to Emily Ratajkoswki.

In September 2023 he began dating Madelyn Cline, star of the buzzy Netflix show Outer Banks, but they split by early the following year.
