Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s son, Deacon, proved he has a very close bond with his famous father.

Ryan, 50, and Deacon, 21, took part in a street magic video that showcased their ‘psychic connection’ to each other. 

Kevin Hamdan, a famous mentalist and psychological illusionist, shared a clip of the father and son duo on the streets of Toronto to his Instagram on Friday. 

Though they were standing apart and Ryan’s eyes were closed, the Cruel Intentions actor appeared to feel the spots where Kevin touched his son. 

Upon opening his eyes, Ryan believed Kevin had touched him, but Deacon clarified that Kevin had remained by his side throughout.

The video started out with Kevin telling Deacon: ‘Now, often times you probably heard, being his son, this is a mirror to you. Right? You’re a mirror to him.’

Ryan jokingly chimed in, pointing at his son to say, ‘I like that mirror better. I’d like to go back in time.’

Kevin then told Ryan, ‘But imagine really this was a mirror’ before pointing out that Deacon and Ryan — who were standing feet apart facing each other — were already in a similar stance, with their hands in their pockets.

He then had them take their hands out of their pockets, and take one step back away from each other. They were then instructed to stare into each other’s eyes, before Ryan was asked to close his.

After Ryan closed his eyes, Kevin walked over to Deacon and touched his nose with his finger, and then his chin.

‘If you felt me touch you somewhere on the face, point to where you felt it. If it was two different spots, point to both,’ Kevin said.

Ryan pointed to his nose and then his chin, as Deacon looked on in shocked amusement.

Kevin then grabbed Deacon’s right arm, and touched him on the hand. ‘If you felt me touch you somewhere else, point to where you felt that,’ Kevin said.

Ryan raised his right arm, moving his hand, as Deacon burst out laughing.

At one point Kevin grabbed Deacon’s right arm, and touched him on the hand. ‘If you felt me touch you somewhere else, point to where you felt that,’ Kevin told Ryan

Ryan’s exact movements prompted Deacon to put his hands over his mouth in shock.  Meanwhile Ryan said, ‘That’s just hard to believe. I’m going to have to see the tape’

Kevin then rubbed Deacon’s nose, and asked Ryan to mimic how the touch felt, with Ryan imitating the exact same movement, despite having his eyes closed, prompting Deacon to put his hands over his mouth in shock.

For his last movement, Kevin grabbed Deacon’s right arm yet again, tapping his hand three times.

He then asked Ryan to point with his left hand to where he felt the touch, with Ryan once again imitating the exact same movement and even recalling the number of taps he felt.

Kevin then asked him to open up his eyes.

‘That was a hundred percent,’ Deacon told his dad. 

‘He didn’t touch me?’ Ryan asked. ‘No,’ Deacon confirmed, adding, ‘he touched me.’

‘That’s just hard to believe,’ a shocked Ryan replied. ‘I’m going to have to see the tape.’

After finding out that Kevin didn’t even go near him, Ryan was once again shocked, saying, ‘His voice got louder in my ear.’

Though the ‘psychic connection’ impressed commenters, many also noted Deacon’s striking resemblance to his famous mother.

‘That boy looks just like his mama!’ one wrote.

‘His son looks just like Reese Witherspoon.’

‘Deacon is the spitting image of his Mom.’

Deacon is currently studying music at New York University and lives in a two-level apartment with pals in pricey West Village

Along with Deacon, Reese and Ryan also share 25-year-old daughter Ava; Reese and Ava seen in 2024
