Britain’s Got Talent judges left in awe as contestant born with no arms astonishes them with brilliant drumming skills

Britain’s Got Talent judges will be left gobsmacked during Saturday evening’s episode after a contestant, born with no arms, stuns them with his incredible drumming skills.

Last month, the much-loved talent show returned for its 18th series, and in a new episode airing this Saturday, the panel was left in awe of drummer Cornel Munn.

The house drummer on Channel 4’s The Last Leg took to the stage in Blackpool, leaving both the crowd and judges on their feet.

In a new interview with The Mirror, Cornel revealed that winning the compeтιтion and earning a spot to play for the King at the Royal Variety Performance would be extra-special.

The 33-year-old shared: ‘My adoptive mum went to one of Prince Charles’ garden parties at Highgrove.

‘She showed the now-King a picture of me in the orphanage that she kept in a bible. It would almost be like coming full circle. Playing for the King would be such an honour.’

Born in Romania, Cornel’s birth parents were forced to give him up due to the difficult circumstances there.

Aid workers Ken and Doreen Munn brought him to the UK for treatment when he was 18 months old, eventually adopting him.

Cornel joined their four other children in the Worcester family, and he said of his early life: ‘I’m so grateful to my biological parents as well as my adopted ones.

‘There’s no ill feeling. quite the opposite. They let their child go and have great opportunities.’

In 2004, Cornel was awarded the Mirror Pride of Britain Child of Courage Award, which was presented by Carol Vorderman.

Overcoming adversity, Cornel started playing drums at age 11 by strapping sticks to his upper arms.

In his spare time, he plays in a band and was also the house drummer on the Channel 4 series The Last Leg.

He also revealed that he and his late adoptive mother, Doreen, who pᴀssed away in 2023, used to watch Britain’s Got Talent together.

He claimed that Doreen would always encourage him, saying, ‘you should go on there’.
