Over the course of her nearly two-decade long music career, Taylor Swift has collaborated with artists from across genres.

And now rock legend Carlos Santana, 77, is vying for a chance to work with the 13-time Grammy Award-winner, 35. 

Santana — lead guitarist and founding member of the classic rock band Santana — recently confessed that Swift is one of his dream collaborators.

‘I want to collaborate with Sting and Taylor Swift,’ he said during an appearance on TalkShopLive stream last week.

He then revealed what projects he’d like to record with Swift, including several covers of iconic songs. 

Santana wants him and Swift to perform covers of No Woman, No Cry by Bob Marley & The Wailers, Just Like a Woman by Bob Dylan and Natural Woman by Carole King.

The guitarist then pitched his idea for a potential album focused around Swift’s ‘goddess’ energy.

Specifically, he wants to create an album that both ‘validates’ and ‘celebrates’ God’s ‘female side.’

‘I think that for many, many centuries women have gotten a bum rap from the male gaze,’ he explained during the livestream.

He continued: ‘I gotta get together with my sister and take the female queen goddess to a whole other level of deep appreciation and validation.’

If Santana does nab a collaboration with Swift, it won’t mark his first foray into pop music.

The acclaimed musician has previously worked with the likes of Rihanna, Michael Jackson and Michelle Branch.

Swift last released new music in 2024 on her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

She put on a brave face last month after she walked away from the 2025 Grammys with zero wins despite earning six nominations.

However, Swift recently won big at the star-studded iHeartRadio Awards earlier this month.

The singer-songwriter received the Tour of the Century award for her worldwide Eras Tour, which is the highest-grossing concert tour of all time. 

She accepted the honor via a pre-recorded video.

During her heartfelt speech, Swift revealed she has been doing a lot of reflecting since wrapping up her career-spanning tour, which kicked off in March 2023 and ended in December 2024.

‘I really can’t tell you how much this means to me because this — on behalf of my tour mates, all my fellow performers, my band, everyone who toured with us, our crew — is actually the two-year anniversary of the first show of the Eras Tour,’ she shared.

‘So I’ve been doing a lot of processing since I’ve been off the road these last few months.’

‘People often say that sometimes the greatest challenges in life end up being something you’re so proud of or end up being the most gratifying feeling in the end, if you can rise to the occasion,’ she continued.

‘And this tour was absolutely the most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life. It’s a 3.5 hour show, more shows than I’ve ever done on tour.’

She added: ‘To the fans, you made these songs from the last couple decades into what they became so that we could do a 3.5 hour setlist.

‘You had the pᴀssion and generosity to care about traveling to see us on tour in all these places all over the world.

‘It blows my mind. I’m never going to stop being grateful for it. And I appreciate this more than you know.’

While Swift hasn’t hinted at releasing new music anytime soon, she has been vocal about one of her A-list BFFs’ latest project.

Last week, she posted an enthusiastic review of bestie Selena Gomez’s Sєxy new album with fiance Benny Blanco тιтled I Said I Love You First.

Swift shared a snap of the album cover for I Said I Love You First in her Instagram Stories last Saturday, following the record’s release Friday.

‘I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH,’ she wrote in all caps, adding, ‘OH MY GODDDDDDD.’

The Cruel Summer singer then tagged her fellow hitmaker and her fiancé Benny Blanco, adding a link to the album on Spotify.

Gomez — who has been friends with Swift for over a decade — responded by sharing the graphic in her own Instagram Stories and writing, ‘love you tay’ with a heart emoji.
