Charlie Sheen’s third ex-wife Brooke Mueller admitted she and his second ex-wife Denise Richards are having a ‘little strain’ in their relationship following her recent guest appearance on the reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.
Brooke complained that she ‘wasn’t paid a dollar’ for the show’ while chatting with People, despite having made multiple appearances by now.
The actress — who recently complained about her ex-husband Charlie’s reaction to her addiction struggles — noted that the editing in post-production might have something to do with why she hasn’t been getting along recently with Denise.
‘Denise and I have a little strain right now going on. When I see the episode[s], I’m not even really in it,’ Brooke explained. ‘And so I don’t know if she knows that I was significantly cut out and there’s that tension, or if she’s just really busy.’
She added that she had been trying to get in touch with Denise, but the 54-year-old former Bond girl allegedly hadn’t been returning any of her calls or text messages.
‘We’re having a sister moment,’ Brooke joked.

Among the things that annoyed Brooke was her portrayal in episode three of the series, тιтled Drop ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Gorgeous Lizard.
She feared that the way the episode, which focused on the aftermath of her pet lizard Godzilla’s death, was edited made it look as if she was an uncaring pet parent.
‘We sH๏τ two days of episodes on [a memorial for] for Godzilla that she was babysitting for six months when I was in treatment,’ Brooke explained.

During that period, there was an ‘accident’ in which Godzilla ‘got into something’ dangerous to him that led to his sad end after 30 years of being her pet, though she noted that Denise was not at ‘fault.’
‘He was almost six feet and an endangered species, no joke. Unfortunately, the fact that he died does land on me because I wasn’t there and able to properly even give them notice to [tell them] how and what [to do],’ she said.
‘What frustrates me is that all the headlines will say: “Denise Richards rescues Brooke’s reptile dropped off at her house, abandoned,”‘ Mueller complained to People. ‘And that’s not the real truth.”
Brooke also scratched her head after seeing a seen in which Denise’s daughters Sami and Lola, whom she shares with Charlie, claimed they didn’t know their dad had ever been married to Brooke, who was his wife from 2008 to 2011.
‘It defies logic,’ Brooke said, before noting that her and Denise’s children ‘call each other brother and sister.’
Brooke didn’t like how an episode about her decades-old pet lizard’s funeral allegedly made it look like she was a bad pet mother because Denise had been caring for it for six months while she was in rehab

But she emphasized that Denise, who was a temporary guardian for her kids when she went to rehab in 2013, was still her good friend after they shared a ‘trauma bond’; seen in 2022 in LA
‘I mean I guess they could have thought that for some reason we only had kids together, but … I don’t get it,’ she said.
Despite her recent complaints involving Denise’s show, Brooke made it clear that she still valued their friendship.
Brooke, who noted that she is newly sober after attending a treatment program, previously had to rely on Denise in 2013 to temporarily become her children’s guardian when she had to enter a rehab program and police removed them from her care.
Brooke admitted she shares a ‘trauma bond’ with Denise, which helped them become ‘fast friends.’
‘We’re almost like sisters, so there is sometimes some internal fighting. It’s not always rosy,’ she told the publication.
But, she stressed that ‘at the end of the day, no matter how messed up I’ve been, [Denise has] been the one trying to help me get off wherever I’m at.’
‘She’ll go ahead and even look at houses for me to rent when I’m in treatment,’ she added. ‘So right now, we’re just having a sister moment, and in fact, there’s ways in which the bigger, more important things in life, she’s always been there for me, always.’
