Tara Reid looked unrecognisable as she attended the premiere of the film Pabrik Gula in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The American Pie actress, 49, sported a noticeably different appearance as she walked the red carpet for the screening of the Indonesian horror film.

Tara’s face appeared smoother as she posed for the cameras in a black leather jacket and a monochrome patterned skirt.

Letting her blonde locks fall loose down her shoulders, the film star completed her look with a light palette of makeup.

Tara does not appear to have a role in the film – called Sugar Mill in English – but she did pose with the cast on the red carpet.

The actress rose to fame in the late nineties, particularly for her role as Vicky Lathum in the American Pie film series.

She is also known for roles in films like The Big Lebowski, Josie & The Pussycats and the Sharknado movies. 

Tara has spoken about having cosmetic surgery in the past. Back in 2004, she had a joint liposuction-breast enhancement operation which went wrong.

She previously said of the procedure: ‘I got lipo because even though I was skinny, I wanted – I’m not going to lie – a six-pack. 

‘I had body contouring, but it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing.’

Due to her naturally thin frame, she has previously faced eating disorders rumours.  

‘I have no anorexia and never have,’ she told the Los Angeles Inquisitor in a past interview.

‘And I definitely don’t have any bulimia. I’m terrified of throwing up, so that’s not gonna happen. And I love food too much.’  

The star also described speculation about her weight as a form of bullying, saying: ‘So anyone that says I’m anorexic or bulimic, they’re wrong. So stop it.

Along with her film roles, Tara has also done reality TV. She appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK in 2011 where she became good friends with former X Factor stars Jedward.

In 2023, she appeared on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, a quasi-military training series alongside the likes of Blac Chyna, Brian Austin Green and Jack Osbourne.
