A probe into a raid at Gary Barlow’s £6 million mansion has reportedly been dropped by police.
The Take That star’s home was targeted by a gang of thieves in April 2024, while he performed with the band on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
A source told The Sun that the gang involved in the raid may have fled abroad, saying: ‘There’s always the fear that the gangs flee the UK after raids, which makes the cops’ job even harder.’
Thames Valley Police also told the publication that the case had been filed pending further information and renewed an appeal for witnesses.
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Gary Barlow and Thames Valley Police for comment.
Gary, 54, lives in the property with his wife Dawn, 35, and children Daniel, Emily, and Daisy, however it’s unclear if they were at home at the time of the raid.
A probe into a raid at Gary Barlow’s £6 million mansion has reportedly been dropped by police, after a gang of thieves targeted the singer’s property last year
According to The Sun, the thieves waited for nightfall before forcing the mansion’s front gate to gain access, while it’s still unconfirmed if anything was stolen in the raid.
Gary is said to have been unaware of the break in until the following day when the police were informed, with investigators spotted by neighbours pH๏τographing the property in the days following.
One onlooker told the publication: ‘When I drove past I saw officers taking pH๏τos of the gates, which had been damaged.
‘They were left half open. A few days later the gates had been fixed.’
While a second said: ‘The police have been round to ask me about what happened, but I wasn’t aware of anything. I noticed the gates were flapping open. It’s a rather secluded place. It’s a warning to us all’.
They went on to say the area had numerous large houses with Gary’s being just one of them and that they hoped police would ‘do more’ to tackle those targeting the properties.
Gary appeared on the penultimate episode of Saturday Night Takeaway’s final season alongside bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen on April 6.
The trio opened the show with a rendition of their hit song, Shine.

It comes after Gary revealed why his children have chosen not to follow in his famous footsteps in a rare comment about his family.
The Take That star shares Daniel, 24, Emily, 22 and Daisy, 15, with wife of 25-years Dawn Andrews, and throughout his career has reportedly raked in a whopping £90M fortune.
He revealed to The Mirror that his children are so different to him and despite his own success, have shown no interest in showbiz, opting instead for academic careers.
Saying: ‘The two oldest ones [Daniel and Emily] have kind of gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning – and my youngest one, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for but again, she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife,’ he says.
‘I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn’t have discouraged them though if they did want to, it’s been a good business for me’.
‘Every day I still enjoy what I do and when you realise you’re making a living from it, it’s a great, great place to be. Many roles in “showbiz” are just wonderful, there’s definitely a much harder world out there than the one I’m in I think’.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Gary lifted the lid on his first kiss with his wife Dawn Andrews, as he revealed he plucked up the courage after a drunken night out.
The Take That star delved into his 24-year marriage to the former dancer on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware.
Speaking about dating Dawn – who he wed in 2000 – Gary revealed their first kiss was in the back of a van after a night out.
‘We were in Manchester, and we’d been to a club, and we’re all piled in this van on the way home,’ he said.
‘We were in the very back of this van, and we were sitting right next to each other, had my arm around her and I just thought, this is it kids, I’m going in.’
Gary also revealed that he and Dawn had worked together for years before they embarked on a romantic relationship.
Asked about how they met, Gary said: ‘Oh, she was a dancer. I met her first in 1988 when I’d been brought in to do this really terrible video by Virgin at the time, which had off shoots around the country, and there’s two dancers on that. She was one of them.
‘And so we met then just for the day, never thought anything more of it. Then bumped into her over the years, at Top of the Pops and the Royal Variety performances and things, and then we did a tour in like 95 where we had like 20 dancers.’
