Matt Damon showcased his muscular frame while joined by another A-list star amidst filming Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic fantasy The Odyssey in Italy on Tuesday.
The Good Will Hunting actor, 54 – who was recently spotted arriving to Greece to begin shooting the anticipated project – filmed a scene alongside Zendaya at what appeared to be a rocky shore on Favignana Island.
The movie – which is an adaptation of the poem written by Homer – kicked off filming last month in February, with production set to take place throughout Italy, Greece, Morocco and the U.K.
Damon – who is taking on the role of Odysseus – was seen going shirtless to show off his ripped physique as he stepped into his character.
He sported a pair of brown trousers that contained a torn hem on the bottom and also opted for a gray beard.
Matt could be seen walking along the water and also stood next to Nolan at one point while preparing to shoot a take.

In between takes, Damon also took a seat on the shore as crew members situated the cameras for additional shooting.

‘I literally have an odyssey in front of me,’ The Martian actor stated when the topic was brought up, but did not add any other details of his role.
Zendaya was also seen on the set of The Odyssey this week, and donned a sleeveless, cream-colored dress that fell down past her ankles.
The Euphoria star’s dark locks were parted in the middle, and styled into a stylish up do that was braided at the back.
The beauty was guided through a hill filled with yellow flowers by crew members before stepping in front of the camera.
After arriving to the set on the shore, Zendaya – who is currently engaged to Tom Holland – could be seen sharing a laugh and lighthearted conversation with one of the staff members.

Nolan is not only directing the project, but is also writing and producing the fantasy-action film. The Oscar winner is also reportedly using new IMAX film technology when it comes to the production of The Odyssey.
