Singer Merrill Osmond – whose siblings are Donny and Marie Osmond – has shared a few bizarre social media posts and videos making some audacious claims and hinting at being alienated by his family.
The 71-year-old – best known for singing and playing bᴀss for both The Osmonds and The Brothers Osmond – recently suffered the loss of his brother Wayne Osmond, who pᴀssed away in early January at 73.
Merrill, who has over 133K followers on his verified Facebook page, typically posts Friday messages to his fans and followers, though he surprised them with a bizarre post last Thursday.
He hinted in the message about ‘difficult decisions’ and said that people you love may never even speak to you again.
The cryptic post didn’t mention any specifics about his own family, though the next day he shared a video with his fans.
While he thanked fans for their support, he also called himself a ‘visionary’ who can see his late son Troy, who died in his sleep in 2018 at 33, in heaven.

The original post accompanied a pH๏τo of Merrill leaning up against a brick wall, a metaphor for having one’s back against a wall.
‘My dear friends, This is not my Friday post, but a message that I felt compelled to share with someone who needs to hear it today,’ Merrill began.

‘There are times when you are up against the wall and must make difficult decisions. Even if the people you love will never fully understand you or never speak to you again,’ he added.
‘At these times you will be defining yourself and making your resolve crystal clear. These moments, though painful, are essential for personal growth and integrity,’ he added.
‘Standing firm in your truth, despite the potential for alienation, solidifies your idenтιтy and strength. Stay strong, you’re loved Merrill,’ he concluded.
The next day he shared his typical Friday post, a video where he spoke about various ‘gifts’ that God has given to people.
He stated that some people, ‘have the gift of knowledge,’ asking people not to be ‘saddened’ because of gifts they have not received.
Merrill then added, ‘You know, some of my own family members think I’m sort of a wacko at times, because I’m a visionary. I really am a visionary.’

‘I have seen things that maybe others have not seen. I’ve seen my son in heaven. I know what he’s doing. I can tell you what my parents are doing,’ he insisted.
‘Some people say, “How do you know that?” Well, I’m a visionary, and I am humbled to say that I have had those blessings,’ Osborne continued.
He also mentioned a verse in the book of Joel, where, ‘in the last days,’ old men will ‘have dreams’ and young men ‘will see visions.’
‘If you’re living a good life and you’re trying to be prayerful about your whole life and you love God and you are given a gift to be able to know certain things and feel things and see things, just accept it and be grateful for,’ he said, adding to ‘hold back’ what you know is sacred, but sometimes, others might need to know what you have to share.
