ABC’s The Bachelor brought its 29th season to a close on Monday, and many fans are quite outraged over Grant Ellis’ selection, with many calling him the ‘worst Bachelor ever.’

The 31-year-old day trader and former pro basketball player had narrowed the original field of 25 women down to just two – Juliana Pasquarosa and Litia Garr.

Many fans were convinced that Grant would end up alone after spotting some awkward body language during the Women Tell All episode two weeks ago. 

That wasn’t the case, though, with Grant finally making his decision during the three-hour Season 29 finale, ultimately choosing Juliana Pasquarosa.

The teasers leading up to the finale showed Grant couldn’t decide between the two as they both arrived for the big moment, but he ultimately chose Juliana.

Many fans were outraged at how he ended things with Litia, who said that Grant had been telling her all along that she was the one he wanted to be with.

The finale showed Grant’s last day in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and his final dates with both Juliana and Litia. 

While both dates seemed to go fine, Grant was increasingly torn, stating he truly did love both women and he wasn’t expecting that to happen.

His indecision carried over into the final day where he was expected to pick one over the other, but it truly came down to the last minute.

Host Jesse Palmer said both ladies were on their way and he needed to know which to send in first – since the one not selected is typically brought in first.

Much to many fans’ dismay, Litia was sent in first, with Grant even kissing her a few times before breaking the news to Litia: ‘I’m not your person.’ 

A stunned Litia asked when things changed, as he insisted it didn’t change and he did love her, stating that he hoped she didn’t see him differently now, but she quickly insisted, ‘Oh, I do, for sure, come on now.’

She added that Juilana is a ‘beautiful woman’ and she ‘deserves love,’ but she added, ‘I would have a lot of questions about her from the things that you’ve said to me.’ 

When Grant asked if she felt he had been misleading her, ‘she said, ‘The things you’ve said to me all along the way make this decision that you’ve made so much more devastating. For me, the switchup is crazy.’

While Grant insisted, ‘I didn’t switch up,’ he ultimately took responsibility for that adding it came down to the ‘final day and I had to make a decision.’

She told him that she was confused, sad and mad, and when she came out on the live show, she told host Jesse Palmer that she felt the, ‘rug was pulled out from under me.’

She added that he told her very early on that she would be the one and they were getting engaged, though that wasn’t the case.

When they brought Grant out to speak with Litia, she said that she doesn’t think he’s a bad guy but reiterated how he told her early on how sure he was about their connection.

She said that he told her his mind wouldn’t change and, ‘every week you continued to raise the stakes,’ even saying the day before their breakup that they were getting engaged. 

She added, ‘I’m excited for this to be the last time that I talk to you about this,’ a line that seemed to resonate with many fans, some, like @aytotea0, even saying, ‘Grant is the worst bachelor in history.’

Many were incredibly upset, including Rita (@ritaindisguise), who insisted on X, ‘litia I WILL AVENGE YOU #TheBachelorFinale #TheBachelor.’

Alyssa (@alyssalocaaa) said, ‘He really wanted it to be Litia but couldn’t shake Juliana, and if this other person is drawing you so much — it’d make sense to think that’s who you should go with. I think lifestyle differences was huge, though and made the choice feel more sound!’

Many were stunned that, even after all of that, seeing how indecisive Grant was, that Juliana was still with him, but they are in fact still engaged.

Bachelor fan account @TheBachBabes insisted, ‘Juliana is a better woman than me because if I were her I’d be sharpening my knives,’ regarding Grant’s indecision.

Ron! (@vveronikaalvj) simply stated, ‘Grant is such an evil man,’ while Aubrey (@aubrey__bryan) insisted Litia got ‘screwed over.’

‘From what i’ve seen the last hour of this show, that first girl got completely screwed over and grant is a player. the things he said to her were f***ing crazzzzyyyy just to not pick her, also i love her, whoever she is. she should be the bachelorette,’ she said.

Many other fans threw their support behind Litia as the next Bachelorette, although it was announced in February that The Bachelorette is ‘unlikely’ to return in 2025.

It was also announced that this season’s third place contestant – Zoe McGrady – will return in a new season of Bachelor in Paradise, airing sometime this summer.

Host Jesse Palmer also revealed quite the intriguing twist, with not only recent Bachelor Nation contestants returning, but also some Golden Bachelor Nation contestants coming to the beach as well.

The Golden Bachelor’s Leslie Fhima and The Golden Bachelorette’s Gary Levingston were also brought out and revealed to be new contestants as well.
