Kym Marsh was reunited with her ex-husband Jamie Lomas on Sunday, as the proud parents celebrated their daughter Polly’s birthday together.  

The Hear’Say star, 48, and the Hollyoaks actor, 49, beamed on either side of their 14-year-old for a family pH๏τo during a celebratory meal.

Kym shared the snap to her Instagram Stories and tagged Jamie’s fiancée Jess Bell, while writing: ‘Mum and dad sharing our Polly’s birthday together’.

The mother-of-three also took to her grid to share a sweet tribute to her eldest child, calling her ‘my rainbow baby in every sense’.

She wrote: ‘Happy 14th birthday to my beautiful, amazing, funny, talented, wonderfully weird, pain in the bum Polly! This is the only pH๏τo she will allow me to post but it just sums up our relationship!! 

‘Polly you are awesome!!! Tricky at times and challenging hahah but I wouldn’t trade you for anything or anyone!

Kym and Jamie welcomed Polly in March 2011, two years after the birth of their son Archie Jay in February 2009, who tragically died moments after being born 18 weeks early.

Jamie also shared a sweet tribute to his daughter on his Instagram, sharing a sweet throwback pH๏τo of the pair of them and another with his seven-month-old daughter Bella, who he shares with fiancée Jess.

Kym and Jamie first met on a train as they made their way to the 2007 TV Quick Awards before developing a romance in July 2008 – a year before Kym’s divorce from ex-husband Jack Ryder.

They went on to tie the knot in September 2012, but separated the following year and divorced in 2014, with Kym said to be stunned by Jamie’s decision to break it off.

A friend told Now magazine at the time of their split: ‘When she spoke about wedding bells last year, Kym really meant it – this relationship was for keeps.

‘They weren’t getting on, but she still loved him, so she stuck by him. But it was Jamie who split them up. It’s best in the long run, but for the moment the wounds are very fresh for Kym.’

Her reunion with Jamie for their daughter’s birthday, comes just days after Kym posted an Instagram snap of her reuniting with another of her ex-partners for their granddaughter’s birthday.

The Coronation Street star shared a touching tribute to ex-fiancé David Cunliffe, the father of her eldest children, David, 29 and Emilie, 27, and praised their strong bond.

Despite their split in 1999, the pair have remained close, with Kym calling the builder ‘one of my best friends in the world.’

They first met in 1994 in a karaoke bar before going on to welcome their two children, before separating in 1999, shortly before Kym found fame as a contestant on TV talent show Popstars.

However, they have since built a strong co-parenting and friendship dynamic, with Kym regularly sharing their moments together on social media.

Last year, they were pictured enjoying the Euro final and in 2023, she posted a picture of him a couple of times with their grown up kids and grandchildren, citing in the captions that ‘family is everything’.

According to The Sun, they decided to end their marriage due to the strain of work, but ‘cracks’ had been present in the relationship for some time.

The pressures of their careers led to the couple attempting a trial separation earlier this year, before deciding to officially split.

Kym then began a whirlwind romance with toyboy Samuel Thomas, 29, who is 19 years her junior, but was reported last month the pair had split after six months.

She ended her romance with the performer before Christmas, after the pair finished touring with the show 101 Dalmatians: The Musical. 

The singer was forced to defend herself after revealing her romance with Samuel, who is the same age as her oldest son, having gushed on social media that he is her ‘soulmate.’

Amid her alleged break-up, sources told The Sun recently that once their tour finished, Kym found it more difficult to spent time with him.

A source said: ‘Kym and Sam fell head over heels when they first met and couldn’t wait to tell the world.

‘But once Kym’s role in 101 Dalmatians ended it became harder to spend time together and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared.

‘It’s such a shame, especially before Christmas but Kym surrounded herself with family.’
