Lisa Snowden made a huge blunder when she accidentally revealed that AJ Pritchard is engaged to Zara Zofgany, much to the surprise of the couple.

While hosting Thursday night’s Smiley Charity Awards, Lisa, 51, let sip the news and said: ‘I feel really bad. I’ve busted it haven’t I?’ 

She greeted the 30-year-old Strictly Star warmly, saying: ‘It’s lovely to see you.’

AJ responded with equal enthusiasm, saying: ‘It’s lovely to be here, it’s fantastic.’

Lisa continued: ‘You’re such a big supporter of the Smiley’s. You’ve been supporting them for very many years, haven’t you?’

AJ replied: ‘Honestly, it’s fantastic to be here. And just every single film, every single charity has the chance to be seen in this scenario, and I think it’s really important.’

Earlier this month, AJ hinted he proposed to the brunette stunner, who just turned 30 on Saturday – after they began dating in 2022

Then, in what turned out to be a huge blunder, Lisa probingly asked: ‘And just on another note, a little birdie told me, are you engaged? Have you just got engaged?’

AJ laughed nervously, replying: ‘Officially no.’

Lisa quickly followed up: ‘Oh I’ve just put you on the spot.’

However, AJ then added: ‘But my fiancée is in the room somewhere up there with a lovely ring on so we are not officially out there but now we are officially out there.’

Lisa, realising her mistake, exclaimed: ‘It’s an exclusive!’

AJ, now fully embracing the spotlight, added: ‘This is an exclusive! I will now post the video of me and my lovely fiancée in Hyde Park getting engaged. It’s very romantic. It’s very cute. Yeah, it’s out there now, Zara wherever you are.’

Lisa, a bit flustered, said: ‘Whoops! Congratulations. Amazing.’

AJ responded: ‘Thank you so much. We are here for very important stuff but life is what gets you.’

Earlier in the evening, AJ’s fiancée, Zara, was spotted taking the tube to the event, while AJ arrived in a car.

Zara, a model and founder of an exclusive London social club, referred to AJ as ‘her boyfriend’ when speaking to MailOnline.

She said: I’m with my boyfriend AJ tonight, I’m supporting him as he’s giving out an award.’

AJ, meanwhile, shared his excitement for the evening: ‘I’m excited to be here tonight. It’s one of my favourite awards.’

The pair have been together for two years.

Here’s hoping that any future surprises for the engaged couple are a little less unexpected.

The couple celebrated Zara’s birthday with friends at a lavish restaurant, and the birthday-girl took to her social media page to share snaps from the bash.

In one pH๏τo, Zara held her left hand with a dazzling diamond ring upto the camera along with a caption reading: ‘MISS ENGAGED @zarazoffany.’

Dancing the night away in style, the TV personality slipped into a busty red top and a white mini skirt with matching knee boots.

Prior to this, AJ and Zara stepped out for a couple’s date night alongside his younger brother Curtis and girlfriend Ekin-su Culculoglu – as they headed to the CORACHO Tequila x Helen Anthony show amid London Fashion Week.

Yet the former Strictly pro recently came under fire after Love Island fans branded him ‘fake,’ accusing him of quickly changing his tune on Ekin-Su after previously calling for her ‘removal’ from the villa following a fiery argument.

In the latest instalment, the boys received video calls from home, and Curtis, 29, got the chance to catch up with his older brother, AJ.

Earlier last month, it seemed AJ wasn’t too fond of Ekin-Su as he discussed the couples fiery argument in a Q&A with fans on Instagram.

However, it appears he has since changed his opinion, as he told Curtis that he and the rest of the family are ‘loving watching their relationship grow.’

At the beginning of the catch-up, AJ said: ‘Everybody’s so happy that you’re with Ekin from the outside. Mum absolutely loves her. She’s a strong, independent woman.’

Visibly pleased, Curtis responded: ‘So, you think we’re good?’

AJ smiled and replied: ‘100 percent. It’s really nice to see you actually grow as a couple.’

AJ was previously in a relationship with Abbie Quinnen

Curtis revealed: ‘We’re in a very, very good place. I wanted to ask her to be my girlfriend and stuff, but I just thought, I don’t know if it’s the right place to do it or not, so I thought maybe I’ll wait till the outside.’

AJ then urged his brother to take things to the next level: ‘We’re loving watching your relationship grow. Take it to the next level, do a date. We want to see that.’

Curtis gushed: ‘I’ve really enjoyed it in here. We’ve had the ups and downs and odd hard week, don’t get me wrong, but I want to experience the real world with Ekin. I want to introduce her into the family now. I feel like I’m ready.’

However, the sweet interaction didn’t sit well with fans, who flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to call out AJ for quickly changing his opinion on Ekin-Su.

One fan wrote: ‘Didn’t AJ cry about Ekin spilling her drink near Curtis?’; ‘Didn’t his brother want Ekin out.’
