Anna Faris is showering her 12-year-old son Jack with some high praise in the wake of having their home destroyed during the recent LA fires.
‘He’s handled the situation with the fires well,’ the Mom alum, 48, told Us Weekly in a rare comment about her boy that she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt.
‘I really appreciate that,’ added the star.
While speaking during the push to promote her partnership with the bathroom cleaner Scrubbing Bubbles, the actress went on to reveal that she feels ‘so lucky’ to have Jack at her side.
‘He’s always had such a solid anchor,’ she said in another interview with People. ‘I don’t know where, being a kid in Hollywood, he got that.’
She added, ‘I don’t know how he got so down-to-earth, but I’m really grateful.’
Faris and Pratt, 45, separated in 2017 and eventually finalized their divorce the following year after being married since 2009.

Despite ending their romantic relationship the former couple have tried to remain close as co-parents for the benefit of their son, who they welcomed in August 2012.
They have both moved on and have gotten married again: Faris tied-the-knot with cinematographer Michael Barrett in 2021, while Pratt wed Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, and have since welcomed three children of their own.

But, just some two months ago, their blended family lives turned tense and scary when they were forced to evacuate their homes in their respective Pacific Palisades neighborhoods in Los Angeles as the ᴅᴇᴀᴅly fire tore through the area in January.
In the end, Pratt’s home with Schwarzenegger was spared, however, Faris’ house was left in a pile of rubble.
In fact, the Scary Movie star’s residence turned out to be one of 18,000 homes and structures that burned in the L.A. wildfires, which mainly comprised of the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire.
On top of the loss of the home she shares with her son, Jack’s school was also destroyed, Pratt reported an Instagram video at the time.
‘It’s surreal and has been tough, [but] we feel fortunate because we’re safe,’ Faris explained to Us, before adding, ‘I’m really grateful to be working.’
In addition to the cleaning campaign with Scrubbing Bubbles, Faris has also been able to focus on her work shooting the upcoming comedy film Spa Weekend, alongside co-stars Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, and Michelle Buteau.

Her other new roles include a voice spot in the animated comedy film Toy Story 5, starring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, and the live-action animated film I, Object that features Karl Urban, Jemaine Clement, and Skywalker Hughes.
Faris, a Baltimore, Maryland native, had her breakout role when she starred in the horror-comedy parody film Scary Movie (2000).
She went on to appear in the next three sequels in the film franchise through 2006.
