Teddi Mellencamp is proudly showing off her surgery scar while stepping out in Los Angeles as she recovers from having multiple tumors removed from her brain.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 43, looked unstoppable as she exited the pᴀssengers seat of a white car just weeks after her emergency brain surgery.
For her laid-back excursion, the daughter of rock and roll legend John Mellencamp looked sporty chic in a brown Alo Yoga sweatsuit and a pair of oversized sunglᴀsses.
Although her hair is already growing back, her incision site could be seen as she proudly rocked her shaved head and natural dark hair.
Last week, Teddi opened up about how ‘some days you feel like a wig, some days you don’t.’
The mother-of-three recently began immunotherapy and radiation treatment after doctors discovered her brain tumors in mid-February.

She said that even though she is sharing a lot of her highs, she reminded her fans that she is still going through a lot of lows too.
While laying in bed on Saturday evening, she posted a clip of herself addressing ‘all the fun and amazing things I’ve been doing.’
The reality star, who competed in her first horse derby over the weekend, explained that is how she is finding ‘peace’ as she prepares to kick off a week of radiation treatment.
‘I know I speak a lot about all the fun and amazing things that I’ve been doing since all of the tumors, and I have been doing them,’ she said.
‘And it’s been my way of peace, of coping, finding happiness,’ she continued.
‘But I also wanted to send a reminder and a gentle, like, “I feel you,” if you’re going through this, going through a hard time, that is also normal.’

Addressing her 1.1 million followers, she said she was doing her ‘best’ to feel ‘good’ during difficult times.
‘We all find our new normal, and we do the best that we can to feel as good as we can in that moment,’ she said.
‘Some nights [are] really hard,’ she added. ‘Tonight’s one of them.’
On Sunday morning, she also shared several Instagram Story posts ahead of beginning ‘a week of radiation.’
She explained that she does immunotherapy every three weeks and also shared an update about her treatment process.
In a short clip, she answered questions about how she chooses to wear a wig and talking about the sports drink she doesn’t like but has to consume amid her treatment.
She began by saying the ‘story of my life’ is ‘always to be having to drink Powerade.’ ‘I’m here to tell you, it’s not my favorite,’ she admitted.
‘Trying to suck down a bottle of this every morning is a real dream, but I guess it’s supposed to help.’

Then, she shared an update about her treatment.
‘My immunotherapy kinda kicks your ʙuтт, guys. It kinda kicks your ʙuтт, but it waits a little bit — and then it kicks your ʙuтт,’ she said before adding that she is going to ‘start a week of radiation’ treatment beginning on Monday.
She also explained why she chooses to wear a wig and said she gets ‘lots of questions’ about it.
‘They’re like, “Why not just rock the shaved head?” And guys, sometimes I do,’ she said.
‘Yesterday, I didn’t wear a wig in the afternoon, and I’ll be honest, I felt a little insecure. So I’m going to do whatever makes me feel the best.’
Ahead of the week of intense treatment she’s about to head into, she shared positivity.

‘But [I’m] always trying to find a little bit of the positive. Apparently, I mean I’m not a doctor — I barely made it through high school — but apparently, the more immunotherapy kicks your ʙuтт, the more it’s working, is what I was told.’
She continued: ‘That’s why I do immunotherapy every three weeks, whereas my radiation, for example, that I start on Monday, I do for a week straight.’
The former reality star — who had 17 different melanoma spots removed over the past two years — received her brain tumor diagnosis in February after going to the hospital for ‘unbearable’ pain.
Last month, she underwent emergency surgery — a craniotomy with a tumor resection, where four tumors were removed from her brain.
She stayed in the hospital for over two weeks while recovering from the major surgery.
On March 6, she said that her doctors found three more tumors in her brain as well as a tumor in each of her lungs.
