Bling Empire star Christine Chiu revealed that she has suffered dramatic hair loss due to a mystery medical issue.
The actress, 42, shared that she lost ‘99%’ of her hair in the last few months in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Christine revealed that she is ‘running labs’ to determine the cause of the sudden hair loss.
The star posted a clip of herself in a hair salon, wearing a long brunette wig over her scalp, sharing that she was at her ‘first custom wig fitting.’
‘For those who don’t know … i am experiencing sudden and dramatic hair loss – and have lost 99% of my hair over the last few months,’ she wrote.
Christine tagged her stylist Maranda Widlund in the clip. In the video, she is seen sitting in the salon chair, as Widlund styles the wig.

She explains that she went for ‘a dark, dark brown’ instead of black.
‘And then, when it gets styled, it just has a lot of life in it,’ the hairdresser adds.
Earlier this week, the Taiwanese-American star attended the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.

She shared some pH๏τos from the event, where she wore a Chanel hat, which covered most of her hair.
‘Trying to ace the day, but mostly just rallying between champagne and shade (and sushi!),’ she captioned the post.
She was accompanied by her husband, Dr. Gabriel Chiu, and their son, Gabriel Chiu III.
Christine has been married to the plastic surgeon since 2006.
The star, born Christine Alexandra Chiu, is a Taiwanese-American businesswoman and philanthropist.
She was the star and producer of the Netflix reality TV series, Bling Empire that documented a group of affluential Asian Americans living in Los Angeles as they balance modern life with traditional cultural values.
The show ended in 2022 after three seasons.
In 2011 Chiu appeared on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Though her background is Taiwanese, she was raised in Beverly Hills.
She is a co-owner and founder of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery and the Regenerative Medicine Aesthetic Insтιтute, as well as the SPA at BHPS.
