In one reel, the mother-of-one was asked by a fan, ‘How’s your dad doing?’ and Rumer replied, ‘He’s doing great, thank you for asking.’
She then added, ‘It is actually his 70th birthday tomorrow so please wish my papa a big happy birthday.’
Last month in February, Rumer also gave rare insight into how her father was doing during an interview with ITV and expressed that the family has ‘rallied around each other.’
She shared, ‘He’s doing great. I think, obviously as many people in California, the thing we’re all kind of the most scared, dealing with is just fires and wanting to make sure everything is okay.
‘Because my family, we’re all so close, I think what’s so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other, [it’s] so lovely, because we really are a unit.’
Rumer then applauded Bruce and Demi’s relationship even after they divorced after 13 years of marriage.
Emma added, ‘So flood him with all the love today – he will feel it, I swear he will. You are one powerful bunch. I love how you rally for him, and I’m so grateful that he has you ✨’
Earlier this week on Tuesday, Rumer gave an update on her father Bruce Willis just one day before the star’s 70th birthday
‘I think the thing I’m most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I, that I never felt like I had to choose or like, they never played against each other.’
She further expressed that, ‘We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what…
‘And not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep graтιтude for the example they’ve set.’
Earlier this month, Bruce’s wife Emma shared the shocking call she received from a ‘very prominent doctor’ as she cares for the retired actor amid his dementia battle.
She expressed on Instagram, ‘I received a call from a very prominent doctor the other day, letting me know that he has a family who’s just been diagnosed with young onset Alzheimer’s.
‘And they have three children aged 10, 12 and 14, and that he needs all of my resources, any contacts. And I was like: “Huh?”‘
Emma continued, ‘And I have the contacts, and nothing makes me happier than to be able to be of service and to support the next caregiver, which I happily pᴀssed on.
‘The thing that just boggles my mind is how do our doctors not already have a Rolodex of ways to support caregivers?’ the mother-of-two questioned to her followers.
‘The other thing that just is so upsetting to me is, when I receive messages from families that have just been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia or some type of dementia, and they’re asking me for my resources.

‘I’m not even in the same state as them, same city. It’s very hard to sort of pᴀss on those resources, except to like the ᴀssociation For Frontotemporal Dementia or things like that.’
Heming added, ‘But it’s just like, they need to do better. Doctors need to do better. Doctors really do need to have a road map of just some support.’
Last month, she also shared a video to Instagram to help celebrate National Caregivers Day.
Last year in October, Emma opened up about his dementia battle and expressed that she doesn’t ‘shield’ her daughters from the diagnosis.
During an interview with Town & Country Magazine, Heming explained, ‘This disease is misdiagnosed, it’s missed, it’s misunderstood.
‘So finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and I could educate our children.’
Emma added, ‘I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from it.’

Emma said that she was not going to let ‘FTD to take our whole family down. Bruce wouldn’t want that,’ while adding that she hopes to help the ‘next family out there’
‘What I learned from our therapist was that if children ask questions, they’re ready to know the answer. If we could see that Bruce was struggling, I would address it with the kids so they could understand, but this disease is chronic, progressive and terminal.’
Heming told the outlet that their children don’t tend ‘to speak about the terminal side of this with them, nor have they asked.’
However, she expressed that Mabel and Evelyn ‘know that Daddy’s not going to get better.’
