Bryan Cranston is set to make a triumphant return to the West End.
Theatre insiders told MailOnline that the 68-year-old Breaking Bad actor is expected to star as Joe Keller in a new production of Arthur Miller’s seminal play All My Sons, directed by Belgian filmmaker and theater director Ivo van Hove.
This collaboration marks a reunion for Cranston and van Hove, 66, who previously worked together on the critically acclaimed stage adaptation of the 1976 film Network.
That production debuted at London’s National Theatre in November 2017 before transferring to Broadway, where Cranston won both Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Actor.
According to industry sources, the Argo star is eager to return to the stage in London.
‘Even with his success in film and TV, he’s never lost his love for the stage,’ one source told MailOnline.

He gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Walter White in the television series Breaking Bad, which ran from 2008-2013, earning multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
His other notable works include the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and a role in the Steven Spielberg film Saving Private Ryan.
Van Hove, best known for directing A Little Life and the ill-fated Opening Night which starred Sheridan Smith, has a storied but controversial career.
Opening Night closed two months early due to what producers cited as a ‘challenging financial landscape.’
In August last year, the International Theater Amsterdam announced it had cut ties with van Hove, who had led the company for more than 20 years.

The breakup came just weeks after a report alleged that a ‘culture of fear’ had developed under his leadership, with accusations that he allowed workplace bullying to go unchecked.
The All My Sons revival is also backed by Playhouse Pictures, the same production company behind Opening Night.
First staged in 1946, All My Sons is a three-act drama centered on Joe Keller, a businessman whose decision to sell faulty airplane parts during World War II results in the deaths of 21 pilots.
The play examines the weight of guilt, personal accountability, and the moral compromises tied to the American Dream.
The play premiered on Broadway in 1947, directed by Elia Kazan, and has since been revived multiple times, including notable West End productions in 2010 and 2019.
