Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan opened up about how she was ‘inches from death’ during Wednesday’s episode of the ITV show after a horror run-in with a lorry.
The 60 year old returned to the panel alongside Christine Lampard, Myleene Klᴀss and Mariella Frostrupto to chat about some of this week’s newsworthy topics.
One subject that was brought up was that there will be new rules imposed on new young drivers – which include that they can’t drive with pᴀssengers for first six months after test, follow a strict curfew and have to take lessons for a minimum period before pᴀssing their test.
And Coleen revealed a recent scary moment in the car that left her feeling a little shaken up.
Coleen said: ‘We were nearly in an accident on Monday coming back from our holiday.
‘There was a lorry in front of us, Shane was driving, six of us because it’s a big people carrier.

The 60-year-old, Christine Lampard, Myleene Klᴀss and Mariella Frostrup discussed whether young new drivers should have special rules on the show
‘Out of nowhere, we’re all chatting away and it’s all lovely, and out of nowhere.
‘Don’t know what happened in front of this lorry…
‘This car appeared and it spun right across in front of us and hit the central barrier.
‘And Shane was so calm. He managed to swerve the car, while keeping an eye on this car and he stopped literally about three inches from this lorry and going into the back of it.
‘It was a split second. You know, that wasn’t him driving erratically, I don’t know what happened with this car…
‘Whether it flipped it or whatever.’
Wading in on her opinion on whether new drivers should have special rules, Coleen added: ‘It’s a shame to start penalising all young drivers.

‘And some terrible older ones.’
It comes after the singer shared her thoughts on turning 60 as a single woman.
On March 10 Coleen broke down in tears live on telly after an emotional surprise for her milestone birthday.
Her sons Shane, 36, and Jake, 32 – who she shares with Shane Richie – and her daughter Ciara, from her marriage to Ray Fensome, were in the audience.
And although Coleen isn’t in a relationship, she’s not bothered about it.
She told The Mirror: ‘[I’m] turning 60 as a single woman and, while that’s right for me at this stage, I did have a moment this week of feeling a little sad that I might not get to love again.
‘I love being in love and being loved, and I feel I still have a lot to give in that department.’
Coleen admitted: ‘But I won’t be doing the dating app thing again – if I do meet someone it’ll be through fate or friends, although I can’t really imagine it, as the only guys I meet in my industry are either too young, married or gay!’
Coleen turned 60 on March 12.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
