Zara McDermott has hit the headlines recently after it was announced that she is dating One Direction star Louis Tomlinson.

The couple’s romance was exposed on Monday when a fellow diner at The Suffolk in Aldburgh took snaps of Zara, 28, and Louis, 33, enjoying a romantic date.

Alongside her Love Island stint and documentary work, Zara has earned followers for documenting her epic transformation and fitness journey over the years.

Although she has always been stunning, the reality star has admitted that she’s undergone a huge transformation since her days on the ITV show.

In 2020, Zara showcased her amazing three stone weight loss, as she posted a throwback snap from June the previous year.

Flaunting her ʙικιɴι body, Zara quipped: ‘I can’t believe how far I’ve come’, alongside the throwback sH๏τ.

In the first image – captioned ‘Me in June 2019’ – Zara was reclining while sporting a black ʙικιɴι, pouting at the camera and looking sensational. She then shared another ʙικιɴι picture showing her notably slimmer frame.

She penned in an accompanying caption: ‘Can’t believe how far I’ve come! The first pic of me was a girl who never exercised and at whatever she wanted… She wasn’t unhappy or insecure about weight… 

‘But she knew that she needed to start exercising, eating more fruits and veggies and making wiser choices in order to be healthier.’ 

Another progress snap saw the stunner posing in an LBD and trainers and another in the gym, in which she revealed she had shed three stone. 

However, one follower commented on one of Zara’s posts: ‘I read that she’s 7st 7lbs and 5’6. If that’s true, she’s underweight. Body admittedly looks great but deffo underweight’ (sic). 

In a lengthy post, Zara wrote: ‘Sorry to keep having to explain myself on here, but I am definitely not 7 stone 7lbs. I have learnt a lot about posting my exact before and after weight as it can be damaging, and that’s something I would never do now. 

‘Yes I have shared that I lost almost 3 stone (actually less than three stone) but no one is completely aware of my weight at my absolute heaviest and my current weight.  

‘It’s entirely unfair for people to make statements saying I weight a certain amount when they have never ever heard that from me. There is nothing wrong with me at a size 10 and me at a size 6. I love myself in both pics.

‘I just want to be helpful and motivate other people who are on the same path as me to lead a healthier lifestyle. It was never about weight loss. And it’s not about weight loss.’

Zara said for her motivation is to be able to run without being out of breath and ensure she has more fruit and vegetables in her diet, rather than gorging on pizza, takeaways and pasta.

She continued: ‘It’s about balance! As I have said before, I am naturally slim, but because I was in such a huge calorie surplus and eating so much, the poor quality of my diet overrode that!’

‘I actually lost my nan a few years ago. And the reason for that was because she suffered a stroke, her arteries were so clogged up from such a poor diet which caused it. It was one my catalysts for making a change to my lifestyle!’ 

Elsewhere, Zara went under the knife in January 2021 to have her boobs made ‘fuller and more symmetrical’.

Zara said she was ‘nervous’ to discuss her breast augmentation, before sharing her experience with her Instagram followers. 

Explaining her previous issues with her breasts, she said: ‘I wanted to add some fullness to the upper part mainly, so yes in a way, but more so I just wanted them to be balanced and symmetrical!’

Zara shared a picture of herself after leaving the Love Island villa – looking much more baby-faced.

‘Omg how crazy is it how much your face can change!!!!! (I’ve not had any surgery btw) I was 22 here,’ she penned, continuing: ‘And this is what I look like now… the change!! I’m almost 26 now.’

Admitting she’s ‘always had a small amount of jaw filler’, Zara shared that she had the aesthetic procedure in both the before and after pictures.

And going on to explain the lifestyle changes that have contributed to her makeover, the Made In Chelsea star put it down to drinking 3L of water a day, having a regimented skincare routine, healthy diet and regular exercise.

Then admitting that she also gets regular botox, she continued that she began getting the procedure when she was younger – and has it in both snaps.

Clarifying that she doesn’t think of botox as ‘surgery’, she explained that ‘surgery to me is going under the knife’.

‘Nothing has changed for me procedure wise from when I was 22 and 26. I get botox every 6 months and filler every 2 years. Hence why I attributed my facial change to other factors’ she cleared up.

Continuing: ‘I always want to be open and transparent on here as this is a transparent space.’

It follows the news that Zara is ‘so happy’ in her new romance with Louis Tomlinson.

Friends of the TV personality say she’s relieved the relationship is now out in the open after dating in secret weeks.

Zara has already got the seal of approval from Louis’ twin sisters Phoebe and Daisy, plus influencer sister Lottie, who all follow the documentary-maker on Instagram, and she’s excited about what the future holds for the pair.

According to Zara’s friends, Louis has put ‘a smile back on her face’ following her split from ex boyfriend of five years Sam Thompson , 32, on New Year’s Day.

A friend told MailOnline: ‘Zara is so happy, it’s early days with her and Louis but everything is going well between them.

‘News of their romance leaked sooner than they intended – the plan was to keep things private for as long as possible. They still hope to keep intimate details away from prying eyes.

‘Zara is enjoying being wined and dined and experiencing the thrill of dating someone new again.

‘She had been with Sam for years and in the end their relationship became transactional… they had lost their sparkle. Louis has certainly put a smile back on her face.’

Zara and Louis tucked into £100 fish and chips, plus cocktails, at the £315-a-night H๏τel in Suffolk.

Despite being ‘upset’ and ‘sad’ Zara has moved on so quickly, Sam bares no hard feelings towards Louis for dating his former partner.

The pair could face an awkward encounter in June for Soccer Aid as they both feature in the England squad to the charity match against a Rest of the World side.

However, despite’s Sam grievances Zara has moved on quickly, according to insiders, he’s trying to be positive.

A source close to Sam told MailOnline: ‘Sam has no hard feelings towards Louis, that’s for sure.

‘As far as he’s concerned, Louis is Zara’s new man and he’s just got to accept it.

‘He’s a positive guy and will just move on from this, throwing himself into work and getting stuck into the exciting projects he’s got coming up.

‘Obviously he was sad when their relationship broke up and, like anyone, when your ex moves so quickly it’s tough.

‘And if he was both angry and devastated, that would be understandable. But he’s not sitting around wallowing in self pity, far from it.’

Sam has yet to comment since Zara’s new romance was made public.
