Netflix fans have all said the same thing after the first trailer for a twisted compeтιтion series called Million Dollar Secret has been dubbed ‘the new Traitors’. 

The streaming service dropped the official trailer of the new show – hosted by Peter Serafinowicz – on YouTube earlier this month. 

Million Dollar Secret will see 12 strangers travel to a stunning mansion to battle it out for $1 million – but only one of them will be given the money. 

And they have to keep it a secret from everyone else to go home with the huge cash prize. 

The show’s official trailer hears the voice over say: ‘Finding $1m… yours to keep if you can hide the fact you’ve won the money. 

‘Getting the million dollars is easy.

The Traitors, which hit our screens in 2022, has become a huge fan hit since it aired on the Beeb

‘But how far would you be willing to go and keep it?’ 

Many rushed to the comments section on YouTube to all compare it to a very popular BBC show.  

One wrote: ‘This is a reality compeтιтion series, similar to The Traitors, where contestants try to hide or discover who has a hidden million dollars.’ 

Another replied to their comment with: ‘Urg! The Traitors is soooo good! The UK and Canadian one is the best out of all the franchises… I started watching this one, I believe there is an OG of this show where it is a H๏τel and I stopped watching midway. I completely forgot about it.’ 

A third added: ‘A Traitors version of Do You Want To Be A Millionaire.’ 

‘This is basically The Traitors on steroids, I’m here for it…,’ a fourth chimed in. 

The Traitors, which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman, hit our screens back in 2022.

The programme has had three successful series, with the third recently wrapping up in January.

25 contestants travel to a mansion in Scotland in a bid to win £120,000 and Claudia picks who she wants to be a Traitor, while the rest are then marked as Faithful.

The aim of the game is to suss out who are the Traitors – but they obviously play plenty of mind games and trick people into thinking that they are someone that they are not.

The new Netflix programme sounds very similar. 

Million Dollar Secret’s official trailer synopsis reads: ‘This is a game of wit, cunning and deception. 

‘Twelve strangers enter a sumptuous lakeside estate and in each of their rooms is a mysterious welcome gift — a box. 

‘Eleven of them are empty and one contains $1,000,000, and it’s for that guest to keep — as long as they keep their idenтιтy hidden.

‘Devilish games will reveal clues about the millionaire’s idenтιтy, and they must do whatever it takes to keep their Million Dollar Secret.’

The first there episodes of the show will land on the streaming service on March 26.

The next three will drop on April 2, followed by the last on April 9. 

Million Dollar Secret was filmed in Kelowna in Canada.
