She’s known for her eclectic fashion choices.
And on Monday Zendaya nailed it at the Met Gala as she channeled French saint Joan of Arc.
The 21-year-old stepped out on the red carpet in a silver chainmail and armor number created for her by Versace and wore an auburn bobbed wig for the big event.
The young star epitomized the gala’s theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination in the head-turning ensemble.
The metallic gown had a low scoop neckline and a train.
It featured an armor top with collar and epaulettes and an armor waistband that also fell down as shields over her hips.
The actress and singer wore a silver chain with diamond pendant, drop earrings and several rings and added silver platform heels.

Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach told WWD.com that the inspiration for the gown first came to him in a dream.
‘When I knew the theme and Versace, we started the conversation,’ Roach explained.
‘There were a lot of sketches from Versace and I started thinking about strong women who had a connection to religion,’ he went on.
‘I dreamt of Joan of Arc one night and called Versace and was like, ‘What if we did something to reference Joan of Arc?’ They came back with really, really great sketches.’
