Coronation Street star Luca Toolan revealed he has landed a new ‘normal job’ just weeks after being axed from the ITV soap.
The 21-year-old actor, who played the role of reformed bully Mason Radcliffe, saw his character meet a shocking end earlier this year when he was stabbed in a dramatic episode, marking the conclusion of his 18-month stint on the show.
Now, Luca has shared with fans that he has found a new role as an acting teacher, just weeks after leaving Coronation Street.
In a new video, he said: ‘I am keeping myself busy as best as possible and I am running some acting classes.’
He added: ‘I am teaching at Bee Rogue Talent so thank you to those guys. It is going to be great and we are going to do a lot of script anaylsis, improvisation, character development and learning and teaching the craft of acting. I am super excited.’
But that’s not all – Luca has also reportedly secured a role in a new comedy TV pilot alongside his radio presenter father, Mike Toolan.

He will reportedly join the cast of Grᴀss Roots, a new show currently filming in Preston.
The comedy pilot features several well-known faces, including Luca’s famous father, Mike.
Emmerdale legend and Loose Women panellist Sheree Murphy will lead the cast, marking her return to acting after more than seven years.
Other cast members reportedly joining the show include Hollyoaks star Kim Tiddy and Good Ship Murder actor Zak Douglas.
MailOnline has contacted Luca’s representative for comment.
Earlier this year, Luca’s character, Mason Radcliffe, was left fighting for his life after being brutally stabbed.
In the harrowing storyline, Mason was attacked by his low-life siblings Matty (Harry Lowbridge) and Logan (Seamus McGoff) with a zombie knife.
Mason had been trying to turn his life around after serving time in prison and had agreed to help DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) gather evidence against his siblings, who were involved in the death of her late wife, Becky.

However, when Mason raided their flat and discovered a WWII helmet that could place them at the scene of the murder, the brothers turned on him.
The harrowing plot came as data revealed England and Wales has seen an 80% increase in knife crime over the past decade.
Statistics compiled for the 12 months up to June 2024 showed there were 50,973 police-recorded offences involving a knife or sharp instrument.
The study also showed there were 225 murders involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales during that same period, with 78 of the victims aged under 25, and 10 aged under 16.
Coronation Street boss Kate Brooks stated at the time: ‘It’s vitally important to shine a light on this topic and really show the impact knife crime has on not only the victim and their loved ones but also the wider community.’
She added: ‘With the alarming statistics, we want to do anything we can as a show to combat this violent endemic.’
‘After watching this harrowing, but important story unfold, if one person thinks twice about bringing a knife to a fight, then we’ve achieved our aim to raise awareness.’
To ensure the storyline’s accuracy and sensitivity, Coronation Street bosses worked closely with The Ben Kinsella Trust.

The knife crime prevention charity was formed in 2008, following 16-year-old Ben Kinsella’s murder.
Patrick Green, CEO of The Ben Kinsella Trust, praised the show for its commitment to portraying the devastating consequences of knife crime: ‘This impactful Coronation Street storyline vividly highlights the devastating consequences of knife crime.’
‘We applaud the show for their commitment to working closely with us to accurately depict this reality.’
‘This storyline aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of knife crime.’
‘Furthermore, we hope it will encourage viewers to seek help and support before situations escalate, ultimately contributing to the prevention of knife violence.’
Luca, who starred on the cobbles from September 2023 to January this year, said he was ‘honoured’ to be part of the impactful storyline.
He shared: ‘I truly am honoured to be a part of this storyline. I’ve always enjoyed Coronation Street as a viewer, but I completely underestimated the power that it has on its audience until I was involved in the bullying storyline.’
‘Fingers crossed this storyline will be received the way we are hoping it will be and ultimately, if one person drops a knife and someone is saved, that would definitely make it all worth it.’
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
