Niall Horan has officially confirmed he’s working on his fourth solo album after teasing new music.

The One Direction star, 31, revealed he’s been gathering ideas for the follow-up to 2023’s The Show and is ready to start writing this week.

In a interview with Golf Pᴀss on Wednesday, Niall was asked what he’s most excited about for the future.

He answered: ‘I am literally, this week, just about to sit down and I’ve been like accumulating some ideas but I’m going to sit down and start writing my next album.’

The star added: ‘That’s an exclusive, I’m working on a new album guys.’

It comes after Niall teased fans by posting a pH๏τo of some acoustic guitars in a pH๏τo dump on Instagram on March 8.

He also shared a snap at a music studio with songwriter Julian Bunetta, who worked on hit One Direction hits like ‘Night Changes’, ‘History’ and ‘Story Of My Life’.

The star captioned the snaps: ‘A man about the town.’

Picking up on this subtle hint, one fan commented: ‘Ooof you know the new music gonna be fire.’

Another said: ‘NIALLER YOUR BACK I MISSED YOU.’

‘THE JULIAN MAGIC. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN SO BACK,’ a third said.

The singer is back to work after the tragic loss of his One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne, who pᴀssed away in October at the age of 31 after falling from a balcony at his H๏τel in Buenos Aires.

Niall reunited with bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and former member Zayn Malik at Liam’s funeral the following month.

At the time of his pᴀssing, One Direction shared in a heartbreaking statement: ‘We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s pᴀssing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.

Liam reunited with Niall just days before his tragic pᴀssing, attending his concert in Argentina with girlfriend Kate Cᴀssidy. 

The now late star seemed to be enjoying himself as he documented the event on his Snapchat stories.

In one backstage pH๏τo, Liam and Niall appeared in high spirits, posing for a selfie together, with Liam captioning it: ‘Reunited.’ 

He also showed his support by sharing several videos and snaps of Niall performing on stage for thousands of fans, writing: ‘So happy I got to see Niall in concert ��.’

Later, during Niall’s performance of One Direction’s 2014 hit ‘Stockholm Syndrome,’ Liam was seen enjoying the song. 

Niall had included the track in his 2024 tour setlist, which began in the UK in February and has since traveled to Australia, Asia, and North America.

After finishing the Latin American leg of his Live on Tour concert series on October 9 in Colombia, Niall wrapped up touring in support of his third solo album, The Show, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
