A tricky Who Wants To Be A Millionaire question left a contestant stumped and burning through her lifelines during the latest installment of the ITV show – but can you get it right?
During Sunday’s episode of the programme, three players took to the studio to try and get their hands on some hefty cash.
The third contestant to take to the chair alongside host Jeremy Clarkson was retired copy writer Bev Beesley.
Things didn’t get off to a very good start and she used three of her lifelines to get her hands on £2,000.
When trying to win £8,000, Bev got stuck and was unsure on the question: ‘Which component of a search engine is a program used to systematically discover new websites and gather information?’
The potential answers were: A) Ranking Algorithm, B) Database, C) Crawler and D) Search Interface.

Thinking out loud, Bev said: ‘Database is just a set of information.
‘I think the search interface from the word interface suggests that it’s just the front of what’s happening behind the scenes.
‘Crawler, I think, I know spiders have got something to do with search websites and things but I am leaving heavily towards the ranking algorithm…’
But then she went back on her word and said: ‘Well no because discovering new websites and gathering new information, I think the ranking algorithm determines where they come up in the order of the search.
‘So I think the program that has to look for that information is maybe not the ranking algorithm.’
She decided to ask Jeremy for help, telling him: ‘I have got one lifeline left but I suspect, with no disrespect, that’s maybe not your area of expertise.’
The audience found her comment hilarious and immediately burst into laughter.

Bev decided to trust her instinct and went for option C) Crawler.
Jeremy then cheekily said that she’d been deciding for seven minutes and didn’t understand a ‘single word’ that she shared.
She was over the moon when she was told that it was the correct answer and decided to carry on with the questions.
Unfortunately Bev made a wrong move later on in the episode while trying to win £32,000.
After being asked ‘Which of these musical instruments is played by using a keyboard?’, she answered: Theremin.
However the answer was in fact Melodica.
Bev couldn’t hide her heartbreak, as Jeremy chime in: ‘That’s a rotten bit of luck.
‘You are leaving here, Bev Beesley, with £1,000.
‘I just have to say, one human being never uttered so many words in such a short period of time. I’ve loved listening to them.’
