Maura Higgins embodied a Sєxy cowgirl as she posed up a storm for an LA shoot, amid the drama surrounding her ‘drunken BRITs kiss’ with Danny Jones.

The Love Island star, 34, and the married McFly singer, 39, hit the headlines last week after being spotted ‘kissing’ at Universal’s BRIT Awards afterparty.

But now, Maura has whisked herself away to Los Angeles as she got stuck into work with clothing brand Oh Polly on Wednesday.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the brunette beauty shared a snap of herself leaning out of a white pickup truck at Double R Ranch, which is located near the Los Angeles National Forest.

She wore her long tresses in voluminous curls and accessorised with a gold bangle and white cowboy hat. 

In further pictures obtained by The Sun, Maura slipped into a corset-style, pleated mini dress as she got stuck into the pH๏τoshoot.

She swapped her dark tresses for a straight blonde wig and added a black cowboy hat and boots as she posed on the back of a vehicle. 

The reality star seemed to be on cloud nine as she posted another snap getting a piggyback from her hairdresser while on set.

She then shared a sultry picture of herself sitting on the floor in a busty black corset dress, surrounded by cowboy boots.

Maura also took to her Instagram stories to post a video of a horse, but is yet to address the situation.

She is reportedlty ‘refusing to speak’ on the Danny kissing furore as she continues to lie low in LA.

In the wake of the scandal, both Maura and Danny have been hit by a wave of criticism, with many furious on behalf of Danny’s wife and mother of his son Georgia.

Danny and his wife of ten years Georgia were seen for the first time since the scandal as they stepped out for a coffee together in London on Tuesday.

Maura is reportedly hoping to just ‘ride out the wave’ and ‘keep her head down’ amid the ‘relentless’ and ‘off the charts abuse’ she’s received since the news broke.

A source allegedly told The Sun: ‘Maura isn’t enjoying this one bit, which is why she’s keeping her head down.

‘Normally with Maura, everywhere she goes, it’s tagged on social media – be it a restaurant, event or city – she likes people knowing where she is.

‘But Maura is deliberately shying away because she just wants to ride out this furore. The negative comments she’s receiving for kissing a married man have hurt her bad and she would have read every one.’

Maura escaped the drama by flying across the pond for a work trip at the weekend and was snapped arriving at Los Angeles airport on Sunday.

Less than 24 hours ago, Danny and his wife of 10 years Georgia were seen for the first time since the scandal as they stepped out for a coffee together in London.

The couple looked tense as they headed out for a walk in the park together, talking and sipping on H๏τ drinks during the outing.

According to The Mirror, Maura’s friends have rallied behind her and urged people to show restraint, as she’s had a ‘horrendous’ week and been flooded with ‘horrific’ trolling on her social media.

One pal told the publication: ‘Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate.

‘She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down. She is trying to treat things as business as usual, but it’s hard.’

Georgia’s husband Danny has yet to publicly comment on the scandal and has not posted on his Instagram grid since the night of the BRITs, in which he posed for a selfie with KSI and Tom Fletcher.

Hours after Georgia shared the snap, eagle-eyed fans of the pair noted that her husband Danny had mysteriously failed to engage with the post.

It has led to some fans speculating that it is a tell-tale sign that all is not well in the Jones household following the kissing furore.

Georgia returned to social media to share a snap of the couple’s seven-year-old son Cooper.

The black and white image sees Cooper wearing a pair of dark sunglᴀsses while playing on a handheld device.

Not addressing her husband or his recent antics with former Love Island star Maura, Georgia simply captioned her image with a blue love heart emoji.

A host of Georgia’s showbiz pals were quick to share their support for her in the comments.

Sarah Louise Merrygold, wife of JLS star Aston penned: ‘Little dude. sending you all my love.’

Amid a period of silence, Danny has now reposted several happy birthday messages from fan accounts on Instagram to mark his 39th birthday

Despite receiving a flood of supportive comments, Georgia decided to turn off the comments on all her posts.

Maura broke her social media silence on Sunday to announce that she was flying to Los Angeles for work, sharing a snap from her first class plane seat with a glᴀss of champagne at the ready and captioned: ‘Exciting shoot’.

It marked her first post since footage emerged of her drunken kiss with Danny last Saturday at Universal Music’s party at 180 House.

A second video released shows the pair reportedly drinking wine together until 6am at a Sony party at Nobu H๏τel in Marylebone.

While back home, reports suggest that Danny’s wife Georgia has issued a final warning in crisis talks about their marriage amid fears that a third video could leak of the night.

A source told the The Mirror: ‘Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet. They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out.

‘Danny’s career should be halted at this point and he should be big enough to now speak out to everyone and explain what has happened and take some accountability.

‘This is unfair on his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself’.
