Danny Jones made a cringeworthy return to social media on Wednesday as he re-shared a mᴀssive list of birthday tributes to his Instagram.

The McFly singer marked his 39th birthday in the wake of his BRITs scandal after he was caught on camera locking lips with Maura Higgins at the Universal afterparty.

The pair were also seen looking cosy inside the star-studded bash at 180 House on The Strand and reportedly went on to drink wine together until 6am at a Sony party.

Danny has been hit with a wave of criticism, with many furious on behalf of Georgia, his wife of 10 years and the mother of his son, though neither have yet addressed the controversy.

Georgia returned to social media on Tuesday but simply shared a pH๏τograph of their son Cooper, seven, while Danny mysteriously failed to engage with the post.

Less than 24 hours later, Danny finally returned to social media after a weeks-long absence but didn’t comment on the scandal as he shared a string of cringe posts.

Rather than addressing the headline-making controversy, Danny simply re-shared a huge list of 40 posts wishing him a happy birthday and gushing over his ‘amazing’ personality.

While a few posts were from his celebrity friends, the majority were from his adoring McFly fans as they shared their well wishes on his special day.

Notably, his wife Georgia failed to share a post on his birthday as she remained completely silent on Instagram.

Danny’s McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna both shared sweet birthday messages for him, as did Coleen Rooney and musician Steven Battelle.

‘Happy birthday mush. Looking forward to standing on stage with you soon,’ Tom gushed alongside a series of pH๏τographs of the star, while his wife Giovanna simply re-shared the post as they both showed their support.

Danny also posted more than 30 messages from McFly fans who shared messages to celebrate his birthday as they gushed over how much they ‘adore’ him.

Comments included: ‘Happy birthday to someone who can light up a room with just a simple smile. Hope you have a wonderful day Danny. You so deserve it please remember especially today how loved and cared about you are by so many people hope you are well keep smiling that amazing smile.’

‘Happy Birthday Mush, love you forever!’; ‘Happy Birthday Mush! Hope you have the best day! Forever proud of you!’

Less than 24 hours earlier, Danny and his wife of 10 years Georgia were seen for the first time since the scandal as they stepped out for a coffee together in London. 

The couple looked tense as they headed out for a walk in the park together, talking and sipping on H๏τ drinks during the outing.

Georgia had returned to social media for the first time since the BRITs controversy just hours before the outing as she shared a sweet pH๏τograph of her son Cooper. 

The black-and-white image showed Cooper wearing a pair of dark sunglᴀsses while playing on a handheld device.

Not addressing her husband or his recent antics with former Love Island star Maura, Georgia simply captioned her image with a blue love heart emoji.

A host of Georgia’s showbiz pals were quick to share their support for her in the comments.

Sarah Louise Merrygold, wife of JLS star Aston penned: ‘Little dude. sending you all my love.’

Despite receiving a flood of supportive comments, Georgia decided to turn off the comments on all her posts.

Hours after Georgia shared the snap, eagle-eyed fans of the pair noted that Danny had mysteriously failed to engage with the post.

It led to some fans speculating that it is a tell-tale sign that all is not well in the Jones household following the kissing furore.

The married McFly singer hit the headlines after spending the evening with Maura at Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty on March 1, where they were spotted in a compromising clinch.

A second bombshell video then emerged which claimed to show the pair drinking wine together until 6am at a Sony party at the Nobu H๏τel in Marylebone.

Danny and his wife Georgia Jones, both 38, are reportedly fighting to save their marriage amid fears that a third video could leak of the night.

A source told the The Mirror: ‘Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet. 

‘They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out.

‘Danny’s career should be halted at this point and he should be big enough to now speak out to everyone and explain what has happened and take some accountability.

‘This is unfair on his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself.’

Meanwhile, newly-single Maura is reportedly ‘really struggling’ with the ‘relentless’ backlash she has received following her ‘drunken kiss’ with Danny earlier this month.

Maura escaped the drama by flying across the pond for a work trip at the weekend and was snapped arriving at Los Angeles airport on Sunday.

According to The Mirror, the TV presenter’s friends have rallied behind her after Maura had a ‘horrendous’ week being flooded with ‘horrific’ trolling on social media.

One pal told the publication: ‘Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. 

‘She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down. She is trying to treat things as business as usual, but it’s hard.’
