Katy Perry delivered jaw-dropping glamour on Thursday as she took the stage in Vietnam during the 2023 VinFuture Prize honoring scientific breakthroughs — her first-ever performance in the country.
The pop superstar, 39, flaunted her bombshell curves in three stunning costumes, including a plunging beaded gown by the Vietnamese luxury brand Cong Tri.
The sparkly frock had Sєxy cutouts on the sides that showed off her tiny waist and ruched sleeves with elegant silk cuffs.
Katy — who is the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s latest fragrance — accessorized with diamond chandelier earrings and swept her wavy raven hair over one shoulder.
Next, the Teenage Dream hitmaker appeared in an ethereal $8,500 lilac gown by Cong Tri with flowing floor-length sleeves and a mesh bodice.
She showed off her dramatic sleeves by tossing them into the air for her backstage snaps.
For her final look, the mother-of-one wowed in a strapless silver Loewe dress with a gold chrome sphere adorned to the bust.
A pair of white sandals were just barely visible from under the dress’ heavy draped skirt.
She gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her pH๏τoshoot by including a frame that showed her striking poses while her makeup artist Michael Anthony snapped away.
Katy’s longtime hairstylist Ricky Henry was also on hand to make sure they got the perfect sH๏τ.
She later posed for a pH๏τo with a group of fellow performers dressed in blue robes and traditional Ba tam hats.
The Firework singer uploaded all of the images to her Instagram, writing: ‘My favorite ceremonies are ones that award remarkable scientists prizes for their [life]-changing work.
‘Thank you VinFuture for bringing me back to Vietnam to finally sing there for the first time!’
Held in Vietnam’s capitol Hanoi, this year’s VinFuture Prize honored ‘four scientific breakthroughs’ that occurred in 2023 relating to the ‘sustainable’ production of ‘green energy,’ as reported by Yahoo!
The VinFuture Foundation awarded the $3M grand prize ‘to the invention in creating a sustainable platform for green energy through production with solar cells and storage with Lithium-ion batteries.’
The honorees included: Australian professor Martin Andrew Green, United States professor Stanley Whittingham, Moroccan professor Rachid Yazami and Japanese professor Akira Yoshino.
The ceremony was attended by the president of Vietnam, Vo Van Thuong, and other leaders, international ambᴀssadors and renown scientists, the outlet reveals.
President Vo Van Thiong addressed the crowd and praised the honorees for their ‘outstanding research works’ and creating ‘innovative and groundbreaking technologies’ that have enhanced people’s lives.
Katy’s trip to Vietnam comes just days before the Christmas holiday, which she’s expected to celebrate with her fiance Orlando Bloom and their three-year-old daughter Daisy Dove at their Montecito home.
Along with being a hands-on mom and music superstar, Katy has been immersing herself in the world of luxury fashion this year.
