Katy Perry looked smart in a knee-length black coat as she shopped on the iconic Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles this week.
The mother-of-one added black leggings, a long white ʙuттon-down shirt and black pumps.
The Firework singer – who wore alien prosthetics with her fiancé Orlando Bloom at Jeff Bezos’ 60th birthday party – wore her raven hair pulled back into a clip and donned a pair of black sunglᴀsses as she shopped.
The 39-year-old pop star’s outing comes after claims she is preparing to release her first new album in four years this year. It has been reported she is calling the project the ‘most personal album’ of her career.
‘Katy has been working on her most personal album ever for much of the past two years,’ a source told The Sun.
‘She has been doing it on her own terms and it is quite different from anything she has released before.’
‘I think that I’m writing a lot and have written a lot from a place of love because I’m feeling so much of it – so much unconditional love, that love you never knew existed,’ she told Good Morning America in August.
‘I’m always writing, I have been, but I think what’s really important to me is to be celebrating the world that I’ve got to build with all of these wonderful songs and to be responsible for a life for a three-year-old,’ she said referring to her daughter Daisy.
Perry added: ‘I will be back, but let me get this right.’
The Part of Me songstress’ new album will be her seventh studio album and the first since Smile in 2020, which hit the top five in the U.S., U.K. Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker also reportedly plans a mᴀssive tour to support her upcoming album and hopes to hit the road by the end of the year, though details are still being worked out.
‘After so long spent on the West Coast of the US, she feels ready to tour again,’ The Sun’s source said, adding: ‘The demand is there because she has so many hits, so taking her show on the road is bound to be a big draw.’
The tour would mark the first time she’s toured since 2017 to 2018 for her Witness album.
She performed her Las Vegas residency Play from 2021 to 2023 at the Resorts World Theater. Her last show was in November.
She first teased the new album during one of her Las Vegas shows in August.
‘If you can’t love me at my Witness or Smile era then you can’t love me in my KP6 era,’ she teased the audience.
Katy’s fans have been clamoring for new music on X (formerly known as Twitter) for months.
