Drew Starkey gave Anya Taylor-Joy a piggyback as they filmed scenes for their new Apple TV series Lucky in a Las Vegas casino on Wednesday.

The Outer Banks star, 31, looked dapper in a navy suit as he carried around the 28-year-old actress, who swapped her usual blonde tresses for an auburn wig.

Anya looked incredible as she got into character in a backless sequinned gold mini dress and black boots. 

Another scene saw the duo stand around a roulette table at the iconic Caesars Palace, as they were swarmed by film crews.

The series seems set to be packed full of drama as Drew ran across the busy room with Anya on his back as they got stuck into filming.

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name the series follows Lucky (Anya) as she attempts to move on from a life of crime but is forced to embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.

The Hate U Give star Drew plays her husband Cary in the series.

Lucky also boasts Golden Globe Award-winner Annette Bening, Oscar-nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Timothy Olyphant in its star-studded cast list.

Anya, 28, was a vision of beauty in the first look images as she modelled the same gold sequinned mini dress and auburn wig while cosying up to Drew.

She wrapped her arms around Drew, 31, for an intimate moment as they rested their foreheads together in a tender embrace.

Filming began on the show in Las Vegas in February but is set to move to Los Angeles in coming days amid a push to bring production to the City of Angels following the January wildfires. 

Hailing from Apple Studios, Lucky is co-showrun, written and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper and Cᴀssie Pappas.

The series is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media.

As well as starring in the series, Anya serves as executive producer through her production banner Ladykiller.

Jonathan Van Tulleken will direct several episodes, including the pilot, and serve as executive producer.

Additionally, Emmy Award-winner Greg Yaitanes and Jet Wilkinson will each direct two episodes.

Anya can currently be seen on screens with her new Apple TV horror movie, The Gorge.

The film, released on Valentine’s Day, also stars Top Gun: Maverick actor Miles Teller, 37, as two snipers positioned at either side of a vast ravine.

Their mission comes with a strange enigma, as neither of them has been told what exactly is in the crevᴀsse they are manning.

All they know is that ‘the gorge is the door to hell’ and that their ᴀssignment is to ‘stop what’s in the gorge from coming out,’ via the trailer.

They have been set on their ᴀssignment by a character played by none other than Sigourney Weaver, star of the horror classics Alien and Aliens.

The Gorge currently has a 65 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
