Denise Austin, 68, still fits into ’80s swimsuit after denying Ozempic use

Workout guru Denise Austin – who came to fame as an aerobics enthusiast in the 1980s – proved on Thursday that she can still fit into her old swimsuit.

The star, 68, was seen wearing the pink one piece bathing suit in the 1980s and then again this year.

The blonde workout guru was in the same pose on the beach in both images.

‘Throwback Thursday!!!! Wow!!! she began her Instagram caption. ‘Time sure does fly when you’re doing what you LOVE!!! It’s so nostalgic for me to look back 30 years ago when I wore this outfit filming my TV Show…

‘Here I am at 36 and now 68 and still feeling GREAT!!! I am so grateful for my good health !! I love you all!! Xoxo.’

Last year she told Fox News Digital that she does not use Ozempic adding the craze could go ‘both ways’ as the diabetes drugs – which causes weight loss – is not as important as activating your muscle memory.

Earlier this year she encouraged women over 50 to get in ‘the best shape of your life’ while at home.

Denise is known for sharing quick workouts while in your kitchen or living room.

While posing in a white swimsuit for her magazine Denise Austin’s Fit Over 50 issue for Winter 2025, she said that a sculpted body is within grasp.

‘Ring in the New Year with my NEW FIT OVER 50 Issue… Vitality For Life!! On newsstands,’ wrote the siren on Instagram.

‘This is the ultimate guide to getting in the best shape of your life… learning how to have a positive atтιтude… adopting a healthy approach to nutrition… and SO MUCH MORE!

‘This bookazine is filled with my favorite tips and tricks to feel like our BEST selves!! Grab a copy today at your local newsstand or order online!! @magazineshop.us.’

In another post where she was modeling a yellow mini dress she had more to say.

‘Happy New Years Eve!! It’s the LAST DAY of 2024!!’ she wrote.

‘As I reflect on this past year I can’t help but be overcome with GRAтιтUDE!! I encourage you to remind yourself of all of the positives that this year brought…special memories shared with loved ones, and personal growth.

‘I had so many highlights this year… most of which were centered around family or friends! What were some of your highlights?

Last year she shared another fun 'then and now' split

‘What’s something positive you will be taking away from 2024?! So much love to you ALL .. and ENJOY your evening and be safe!!!’

In the past she told DailyMail.com that one of the ways to maintain a flat belly during the holidays it to skip ‘sugar subsтιтutes.’

That means saying no to diet sodas and processed sweets that claim to be zero sugar.

This come just as the blonde shared a new image of herself in a yellow crop top that made the most of her tiny waistline.

‘I have some tips that can help ease that feeling and keep your bloated belly at bay. Some are as simple as eating slower and to steer clear of sugar subsтιтutes,’ she said.

The star went into more detail on her blog web.deniseaustin.com. She said that women over 50 need to try different foods. Foods high in fiber are a must, she noted.

She also said that women over 50 need to try different foods. Foods high in fiber are a must, she said. 'Our 50s is when staying regular can become a challenge, so in addition to fiber-rich whole grains, begin to incorporate other fiber-rich foods such as beans and legumes'

‘Our 50s is when staying regular can become a challenge, so in addition to fiber-rich whole grains, begin to incorporate other fiber-rich foods such as beans and legumes, broccoli, berries and avocados,’ she wrote on her blog.

She also recommends inflammation-fighting foods. ‘Help minimize inflammation with the addition of turmeric, salmon, olive oil and even dark chocolate… these foods can also help to promote heart health and a healthy weight, when eaten in moderation!’

And her last tip is to consume plant-based protein. ‘To help keep your heart healthy, at this point in your life you may want to begin to subsтιтute in plant-based protein for animal protein, such as red meat. Consider a meat-free bean chili, tossing lentils into your salads, or fajitas with tofu instead of steak.’

As far as food, she told DailyMail.com she watches what she eats but keeps it delicious. And her portions are just right for shedding the pounds.

‘I eat smaller portions,’ Denise told DailyMail.com. ‘For dinner I may have salmon and veggies. A snack is flax seed with yogurt. I love avocadoes and eggs for breakfast.

‘I cook really healthy for my family. There are a lot of salads, chicken tacos, vegetable lasagnas, cᴀsseroles with less cheese.’

But she is not always careful: ‘I eat well 80 percent of the time and the other 20 percent I am bad.’ She is referring to the popular 80/20 diet method which allows for cheat days. Some of the things she loves to cheat with: carbs and sugar.

And she also talked working out. The exercise proponent’s answer to battling the bulge is by taking baby steps.

‘I have been doing this for 40 years and am not a fitness nut,’ she clarifies straight away during the interview. ‘But I am consistent.’

That means working out every day in some form. ‘If you can do 10 minutes of working out at a time and do that three times a day, you will have worked out 30 minutes in one day,’ noted the star.

And she added that it is important to keep moving all day long: ‘It is all about blood circulation and moving. I even stand up and walk in place when I watch TV just to keep it flowing.’
