Justin Bieber has been steadily shrinking his entourage to a тιԍнтer group of trusted individuals, and he’s setting the record straight about a personal ᴀssistant who allegedly ‘quit’ after joining his team back in 2018.
On Tuesday, a source claimed to The US Sun that estate manager Mateo Caldas ‘has now moved on and is looking to focus more on his acting career,’ but an insider clarified to TMZ on Wednesday that the 31-year-old pop star already ‘fired him five years ago.’
Mateo – who’s ‘open to work’ – still describes himself as actively employed as Justin’s personal ᴀssistant and estate manager on his LinkedIn and Instagram accounts.
Bieber’s also reportedly parted ways with his manager Scooter Braun, business manager Lou Taylor, Drew House co-founder and ‘swagger coach’ Ryan Good, bodyguards Keith Gibbs and Eric Johnson, as well as security guard Kenny Hamilton.
The two-time Grammy winner – who got sober in 2014 – raised eyebrows on Monday and last Thursday by uploading footage of himself smoking what appeared to be marijuana from a bong and a blunt.
After a video of Justin acting giddy with a fan during his wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber’s Rhode pop-up in LA on February 19th went viral, his rep told TMZ that ‘he is not using hard drugs’ and is ‘actually in one of the best places in his life.’
