Jen Affleck has talked about taking a time out for some personal healing while pregnant with her third child.
In a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives star revealed she checked herself into a wellness retreat, which is a mental health and wellness center that offers counseling, therapy, herbal apothecary and other services.
‘Spent 11 days away from my loved ones, focusing on healing and working through my trauma,’ she wrote over a pH๏τo showing a bouquet of yellow flowers and a pamphlet from the Golden Wellness Co.
‘It was definitely one of the most challenging and impactful experiences I’ve ever had,’ she continued, before admitting, ‘Not the pregnancy journey I expected, but definitely what baby and I needed.’
She also shared ‘moments of learning, moments of processing, moments of pain, and moments of healing,’ including a video of her taking some alone time on a couch seemingly at the retreat.
‘It’s not every day you have the chance to be surrounded by professionals and mentors who dedicate their time to support you,’ she confessed with obvious graтιтude to her words. ‘I am truly grateful for everyone who made this possible.’

During her stay she engulfed herself in counseling sessions, yoga classes, as well as other therapeutic endeavors such as spending time with horses, which she described as ‘one of my favorite experiences’, and painting.
In fact, she even highlighted a specific painting she created of an open field after enduring one of her ‘most difficult trauma sessions.’

She went on the explain: ‘Because of that, this painting will always hold a special place in my heart.’
In a selfie snap, the reality star lifted her shirt to give her 617,000 Instagram fans and followers a look at her growing baby bump, while looking radiant and flashing a glowing smile.
‘When we heal ourselves, we heal the next generation that follows,’ she wrote inside the image. ‘Pain is pᴀssed through the family line until someone is ready to fell it, heal it and let it go.’
She rounded out the post by sharing a screensH๏τ of a phone call she had with husband Zac Affleck and their two kids Nora, three, and Lucas, who turns two in July.
It shows their kids getting playful with their dad as their laughed and smiled at all the fun and games they were having at the time

‘I missed them so much,’ Affleck said of her 11 days away from her family.
The reality star announced her latest pregnancy in an interview with People as she showed off her bump in a sweet family shoot for the publication in February.
Jen also revealed she was surprised to learn of her pregnancy: ‘I was a few days late, and while it was a surprise, we both had a feeling there was another baby waiting for us,’ she said.
‘We were very excited, there were a lot of emotions after a very crazy year!’
The Afflecks will be returning for season two of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives following a difficult run on the first season, which prompted speculation that the couple might be heading to divorce.
‘Season 1 took a toll, not only on my marriage but also on my mental health,’ she explained in the interview. ‘There were many dark days. There’s so much more to our story than people realize.’

She continued, ‘While I’m not sharing all the details online, it’s been essential for our relationship and mental health to keep our journey private until we’re ready to talk about it.’
The series follows a group of eight Utah-based TikTok influencers, known as ‘MomTok’ as they navigate the complexities of their personal and professional lives.
Along with Affleck, the cast also includes Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Taylor Frankie Paul and Layla Taylor.
Fans will learn more about the Afflecks in the upcoming second season with 20 new episodes that’s set to drop in the spring 2025.
