Mark Wright has gushed he’s ‘ecstatic to be a father’ and revealed Olly Murs has been giving him parenting advice as he prepares to welcome his first child with his wife Michelle Keegan.
In a new interview, the former TOWIE star, 38, gushed: ‘I’m extremely excited. I can’t wait for it to happen. I’m ecstatic.’
Talking about his close friendship with Olly Murs, he revealed that the two have been discussing what it’s like to become a father.
The reality star said: ‘He’s just been telling me how excited I should be, and it’s an amazing ride. I saw him in action as well when we went to the Euros.
‘He’d just had a baby when we were in Germany, and he was telling me everything about it. He was so excited, and he just loves being a dad. He’s a great dad.’
Mark and Olly are hosting a brand new breakfast show on Heart Radio together, which kicked off last week.

Lifting the lid on working together, Mark said: ‘It’s every Saturday morning 9-12, and we did our first one on Saturday, and it was an epic first show.
‘You never know how it’s going to go, and Olly is a good friend of mine, but we’d never properly worked together in terms of broadcasting.
‘It was Olly’s first time hosting a radio show, and he was incredible. He’s a natural talent, and I was mesmerised by how good he was.’
He admitted: ‘I think it’s just easy when you’re genuinely friends with someone, the rapport just comes, and you laugh at the same things, you think the same way and you like the same music.
‘We knew it was going to work, but you never know until the day comes, and it was immense, and it’s going to fill my and Olly’s friendship even more, because it’s now a working relationship, as well as a personal relationship.’
Mark revealed that the duo met at the Brit Awards eight years ago and immediately got on like a house on fire.
He recalled: ‘We did Soccer Aid together a couple of months later, and we were joint at the hip for the whole week and became really close friends from there.
‘He then came out to visit me in LA and spent a couple of weeks living with me in LA, and we had a great time, and it just sort of built from there. When you meet someone you either get on, or you don’t, and we get on like a house on fire.’
Mark also reflected on how Olly played a set at his housewarming party when he first moved into his £3.5million mansion.

He quipped: ‘We always laugh about it, because Olly always says I’m such a great salesman, and he knows that, but somehow always gets sucked in.
‘Somehow, I managed to convince him to finish his gig in Chelmsford, and he was travelling overnight to Plymouth to perform there the next day.
‘When I look back on it, it’s so funny, but ridiculous the fact that his tour bus was parked at the bottom of my road with all his band members and backing singers, whilst he ran into my house, and did about five or six tracks, and got back onto the bus and went to Plymouth.
‘That’s just what a good friend he is. I asked would he mind doing it, and he said, ‘Of course I wouldn’t,’ and it was only until the next day that he reminded me I am forever in debt.’
Mark and his father are currently working on a campaign Boots Hearingcare for this year’s World Hearing Day.
When asked on whether it’s brought them closer, he heartwarmingly said: ‘It’s hard to say because my dad and I are so close anyway – we’re like best pals. We do everything together.
‘We see each other every week for a beer and a bit of dinner on a Sunday, and we do a couple of business things together on the side, so everything brings us closer, but we’re already close.’

It comes after another rare chat about his family life, where Mark expressed his excitement as he enters a new chapter with Michelle.
He told The Sun: ‘I’m just excited for the whole process. I’m just really excited and can’t wait for it to happen. A parent shapes you.
‘My dad is everything you’d dream [of] in a dad. He’s always put us first, no matter what, whether that was financially or in terms of love and care.
‘We’ve always felt so loved and that’s one of the most important things for any parent – to make your child feel loved and to [let] them know [you’re] there.’
Appearing on The One Show last week, Mark was promoting his new BBC DIY series Clean It, Fix It alongside co-host Tommy Walsh when he was congratulated by presenters Lauren Laverne and Roman Kemp.
Acknowledging the milestone, Mark said: ‘Very exciting times ahead. Little bit nerve-wracking, but I’m ready, I’m excited.’
Asked if he would be decorating the nursery himself, he joked: ‘I’ll let you guys do it.’
Their caption read: ‘2025 is going to be a special one for us…✨.’
