The Blind Side star, Quinton Aaron, was hospitalized after coughing up blood last week.
The 40-year-old actor, who is known for portraying Michael Oher in the 2009 sports drama, was taken to a medical facility in Southern California on Thursday, February 27.
He was rushed to the hospital after coming down with an illness with a fever and coughing up blood as the symptoms.
It is unknown what he is sick with but according to early tests administered by his doctors, he could be facing Type A flu as well as pneumonia, per TMZ.
On Tuesday, Aaron — who thought it was ‘heartbreaking’ that the athlete he portrayed in The Blind Side was suing the family who allegedly adopted him — told the outlet that he is no longer coughing up blood after a round of antibiotics.
However, he said he has been dealing with a migraine that has lasted multiple days.

He said he is hopeful that after doctors administer a PICC line — a peripherally inserted central catheter to administer IV fluids and medications — he should be able to go home soon.
‘I feel optimistic I’ll be back on my feet in no time,’ Aaron told the outlet.
At the time he fell ill, Aaron was in Laguna Hills in Orange County to perform and present at an event.
However, he recalled that he missed the planned appearance due to sickness.
The Halfway star was also hospitalized several years ago when he was battling an upper respiratory infection back in 2019.
This comes after Aaron reacted to the news that the real-life Michael Oher, the athlete he portrayed in The Blind Side, was suing the family that took him in.
The NFL legend claimed the Tuohys had lied about adopting him and tricked him into signing a document that prevented him from making any money off the $300 million movie.
The Blind Side — which premiered in 2009 and starred Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw in addition to Aaron — told the story of a well-off, white couple named Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, who took in a homeless, Black teen named Michael and helped turn him into one of the most successful football stars in the country. The heartwarming story captured the hearts of millions around the globe, but the wholesome image was shattered in August 2023 when it was revealed that Oher was suing the Tuohys.

Aaron told DailyMail.com that he had only met Oher once after filming had wrapped and reflected on how the Tuohys were more involved with the making of the movie.
He claimed the football player never once came to set while the Tuohys visited on numerous occasions.
He suggested that in the future ‘all parties that are relevant to the story’ should be ‘involved.’
‘I really feel like being a part of telling your story in this industry and trying to be as hands-on as possible in the process is definitely the way to go,’ he said.
‘I’m not posting blame on anyone or saying someone should have did this, or someone should have been there. I’m just saying, look, moving forward, I feel like if there’s ever a situation like this, in a way to prevent something like this from happening again, I think that all parties that are relevant to the story need to be involved in the making of the story from beginning to finish.’
He also added that because he only met Oher for the first time four years after the movie came out, he ‘didn’t have much to go on’ when it came to portraying him.
He added that everyone involved ‘knew going in that some details’ in the movie were fictionalized and not true to ‘real life.’
