When Taylor Swift confirmed her relationship with Travis Kelce, she had later revealed that they had already been dating for ‘months.’

Now, more clues are emerging about when their romance actually began and it appears they started spending time together much earlier — perhaps even half a year earlier — than when she first attended one of his football games.

She first popped up at one of the тιԍнт end’s Kansas City Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri in September 2023, but clues are pointing to the beginning of that year as the time they started dating.

The following month, it was reported that Kelce purchased a $6 million, 17,000-square-foot mansion in Leawood, Kansas in October 2023, and the pair would spend time there.

The first rumblings of their romance appeared to be when Kelce attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts for the first time on July 8, 2023 — just shortly after it was confirmed the singer’s short-lived romance with Matty Healy had ended.

Rumors of them dating were stirred up shortly after he talked about trying to but failing to give her his number on his podcast.

And in October 2023, the pair stepped out together, side-by-side for the first time, to attend a Saturday Night Live afterparty.

Later, in December 2023, she shared insight into the timeline of their romance in an interview with Time. 

‘This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,’ she told the outlet. 

‘We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.’ 

She continued: ‘I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psycH๏τic enough to hard launch a first date.’ 

Now, as the couple approaches the two-year anniversary of debuting their romance at his game, one of Kelce’s neighbors has spoken up, revealing that the pair might have already marked and celebrated their secret, two-year dating anniversary.

On Tuesday, Wes Bergmann said that living next to Kelce in the exclusive, gated community of Leawood has given him some insider knowledge that he claimed he previously tried to share but was not believed. 

He claimed he got wind of Kelce and Swift’s romance months before it was revealed publicly.

However, it remains unclear if Bergmann actually witnessed Swift and Kelce together or if heard whispers around town. 

‘He’s an enigma. On one hand, he’s like this big, tough football player. On the other, he’s going to have about 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him,’ he told The Social Game Podcast hosts Michele Fitzgerald and Kellie Nalbandian on March 4.

‘Okay, and on that note, I was, like, the first person to know about any of this stuff, and I tried to tell this woman a long time ago,’ he said, referring to Fitzgerald. ‘”They are together, just so you know,” and she didn’t believe it.’ 

He continued: ‘She didn’t believe it. She was like, “She only goes for artists.” 

‘I beat the validating of her showing up to games and stuff by, like, six months.’

Based on his time frame, Swift and Kelce would have started spending time together and started dating around March 2023 — exactly half a year before her first game appearance.

Fitzgerald then chimed in, gushing about how Kelce did not appear Swift’s usual type but noted that he seems to be a better fit for her compared to previous partners. 

‘She loves a brooding artist. Usually they are a bit scrawnier, they’re kind of like womanizers in a lot of ways. And then you have him — who seems chivalrous, an all-American football player and he has just been winning and crushing.’

‘To me, he’s the boy next door,’ Bergman added before Nalbandian labeled him, the reality star known for The Challenge, as the ‘winner of girly chat’ for being among the first to know that Swift and Kelce were dating.
