Goldie Hawn’s son has revealed that he ‘cried’ at Andrew Garfield’s tribute to her during the Oscars this past Sunday.
The 79-year-old Hollywood icon was joined by Andrew onstage that evening to present the Academy Award for best animated short.
They instantly went viral for their touching interactions onstage, especially when Andrew shared how much ‘joy’ his late mother took from Goldie’s work, bringing the Overboard star to tears.
At one point, Goldie was unable to read her lines off the teleprompter, quipping that she was ‘completely blind’ because of ‘cataracts.’
‘Okay, I’ve got you,’ Andrew said sweetly, before revealing that the Latvian movie Flow had landed the trophy for best animated short.

Goldie jumped into the comments, hilariously replying: ‘I’m sorry I didn’t answer your texts honey, I was talking to Andrew!!!’

Over the course of their more than four-decade relationship, Goldie and Kurt have also welcomed a now 38-year-old son called Wyatt Russell.
Andrew was lauded for the tribute he paid Goldie onstage at the Oscars, particularly when he brought up his mother Linda, who died of cancer in 2019.
