Maura Higgins’ savage swipe at ‘cheating’ ex Pete Wicks has gone viral following her kiss with McFly star Danny Jones at the weekend.

Love Island star Maura, 34, was seen sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with Danny – who has been married to his wife Georgia for over a decade – as they attended Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty on Saturday night.

And in the wake of the scandal, her harsh words towards the former TOWIE star, 37, have reemerged after it was revealed last month that they’d agreed to part ways after a series of rows. 

As she enjoyed a Valentine’s night out days after the break-up news was revealed, Maura addressed their split for the first time as she left Sheesh restaurant in London with her friends. 

When asked by a pH๏τographer where Pete was, Maura, who stunned in a strapless red mini dress, replied: ‘Dunno, probably cheating,’ in the video obtained by The Sun. 

Meanwhile, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to remark that Maura’s comments were ‘ironic’ in light of her current situation with Danny.

Sharing their thoughts on the drama, they penned: ‘Isn’t this the same Maura who claimed Pete was “probably cheating” on Vday too….

After Maura and Danny were pictured pecking at the bash hosted at 180 The Strand, MailOnline revealed that the two spent the evening together in a cosy booth.

Footage shared with The Sun showed the pair getting cosy at the venue where they had also shared a table earlier in the night with their I’m A Celeb co-star Oti Mabuse.

The I’m A Celebrity co-stars sat at different tables for the actual ceremony which was held earlier in the night at the 02 Arena. 

At the BRITs ceremony Maura was sat at the same table with Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, with only one table in between her and ex Pete, but the pair didn’t go near one another. 

While Danny was a few tables away with McFly star Tom.

Representatives for Maura and Danny have been contacted by MailOnline for comment. 

The video reportedly taken just before 3am shows them stood close to each other in the venue’s foyer and leaning in to chat before he appears to peck her quickly. 

They were then seen leaving the venue as part of a larger group including Danny’s bandmate Tom Fletcher.

Maura then headed home alone in a taxi. 

An onlooker told the publication of the interaction: ‘Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.

‘Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle. They were talking and laughing for ages.’

Danny’s wife Georgia made no mention of her husband in the latest episode of her podcast on Monday, released just hours after his kiss with Maura.

Georgia stayed silent on the controversy during her podcast Mum’s The Word with Kelsey Parker, which covered importance of being present and living in the moment, opening up about spending time with their children.

However, Georgia kept her comments strictly surrounding her and Danny’s six-year-old son Cooper, giving her husband no mention at all – despite the fact it was more than likely pre-recorded. 

She chatted about parenting, made reference to their recent house move and even detailed their flight to Australia, which had been to see Danny while he was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – but omitted any acknowledgment of the singer. 

Georgia, 38, held the fort at home while the McFly star jetted out to Australia in November to compete in I’m A Celebrity at the end of last year – where he was crowned King of the Jungle.
